There are many players who are skilled at one aspect of CC. Escalating cards, freestyle, one on one games etc but there aren't as many who are skilled at everything.
By my calculations each map has 936 possible combinations of play.
1 vs 1
3 player singles
4 player singles
5 player singles
6 player singles
7 player singles
8 player singles
4 player doubles
6 player doubles
8 player doubles
6 player triples
8 player quads
Each of these can be played freestyle or standard, with no cards, flat rate cards or escalating cards, the singles can be played assassin or terminator in addition to standard, there can be fog or no fog and the forts can be adjacent, unlimited or chained. In total with all the combinations there are 936 possible combinations.
Here is the plan.
936 is too many for me to deal with but I think 432 is managable. It essentially will mean that each player will have 8 new games starting every week for a year. For that reason you must be a premium member to join.
There will be 48 players in the league and all games will be on the classic map.
EDIT: OK so there are times when I'm not very bright. The problem with 48 players is that its hard to do 7 man or 5 man games in any particular week. I need a number that 8,7,6,5,4,3 and 2 can all go into and the lowest one I can find is 210 which is going to mean I need 210 players for this thing (It just became a larger nightmare for me
)

Players will be sorted by rank on a monthly basis.
Doubles partners within the month will be assigned so that the best player is matched with the worst, the second best with the second worst. Singles match ups will be based on rank so that the top 8 players will play in the 8 player games that month, the second 8 will be in the next set and so forth.
This will be a large tourney and will require some committment of time so I'm going to leave the sign ups open for a bit as well.
I will also make the games so there is some variety so we're not going to have all the 1 v 1 games the first month etc. The second post will contain the schedule of games (which I'll work up shortly). The third post will be for standings and the 4th reserved as needed
