2007-11-23 17:37:50 - Bonquida: teal, to win we must ally. You take mexico, I'll take eastern US
2007-11-23 19:43:37 - ABO401: you guys, of course, realize, that since you're note teammates, "ally-ing" doesn't get you anything, but a delayed defeat, right?
2007-11-26 04:31:59 - Bonquida: ??? It holds you off and gives each of us a chance. Nice attempt at rhetoric though
2007-11-26 20:50:16 - ABO401: easy bonkey - it's a counter-intuitive move, and you don't need to be a jerk. Your sarcasm is a thin disguise for your incompetence. But I'm sure you've been told that for years.
2007-11-27 16:25:30 - Bonquida: I wasn't being a jerk, I apologize for any misunderstanding. It was a nice attempt a rhetoric, I've seen it happen a lot where someone tells someone else to do something and they do it, leading to person 1's victory
2007-11-28 03:11:05 - LRR8098: So, you are saying you were trying to use me as a pawn blue?
2007-11-28 21:48:40 - ABO401: sure seems like it to me. i'm also not sure he understand what "rhetoric" means, but i think his problems run a bit deeper.
2007-11-28 22:47:39 - Bonquida: Wow, ok, forget I said anything. I don't mean to be a jerk, I just want to play risk. I can't tell if you guys are joking or not.
2007-11-28 22:48:23 - Bonquida: Sidenote: It is a legitimate strategy to try to use other people as pawns, so even if I was (which I'm not) you would really have no reason to get mad at me.
2007-11-28 22:58:42 - Bonquida: Rhetoric - the art of making persuasive speeches; oratory. Ex. "you guys, of course, realize, that since you're note teammates, "ally-ing" doesn't get you anything, but a delayed defeat, right?"
2007-11-28 22:59:12 - Bonquida: Thats my understanding of rhetoric. Is it wrong?
2007-11-29 15:35:10 - Bonquida: this is a good game
2007-12-01 18:47:16 - Bonquida: dice...
2007-12-03 02:22:17 - LRR8098: if you miss turns on purpose, its a shady tactic green/red
2007-12-03 20:58:47 - ABO401: LRR: You serious? We, together have missed exactly one turn. And we're clearly losing. That's pretty bold of you to suggest.
2007-12-04 03:50:02 - Butswana: yo, check my other games LRR, i missed turns in a few of them because i was out of town
2007-12-04 03:51:34 - Butswana: u should have checked that before questioning our tactics
2007-12-04 03:52:58 - Butswana: strategy wise, me missing did not and at this stage would not help our cause
2007-12-04 03:53:57 - Butswana: apologize cadet, you got some balls making those claims.
2007-12-04 03:56:40 - Butswana: you need to win some games before you are allowed to act like an ass
2007-12-04 04:04:45 - Butswana: just looked at the game log and realized the only reason you are still alive is because your partner db and left you all of his armies.
2007-12-04 04:39:31 - ABO401: true story
2007-12-04 15:53:27 - Bonquida: He said "if." This means that he was not accusing you of anything, he was simply making a point, that missing turns on purpose, in general, is shady.
2007-12-04 15:53:48 - Bonquida: do you guys know each other in real life?
2007-12-04 15:54:55 - Bonquida: red and green
2007-12-04 18:29:01 - ABO401: That's Bonkey. Once again, your primer on the English language is instructive. Without you, I would have spent years wondering what "if" meant, and why it softens baseless accusations made by people depending on deadbeaters for a game edge. Cheers.
2007-12-04 21:44:04 - Bonquida: anytime, bud.
2007-12-04 21:45:17 - Bonquida: I don't see how your teammate deadbeating gives you any game edge. But, thene again, I am only a silver corporal, and you are a gold corporal...
2007-12-04 21:52:41 - Bonquida: red, your behavior isn't winning you any friends. As of now, I would much rather have LRR win than you. And if it comes to a point where I don't think I can win, I may just help him.
2007-12-04 23:01:52 - ABO401: Shhhh
2007-12-04 23:04:28 - ABO401: wait... weren't you the guy that said you were using LRR as a pawn? man, you have serious social issues. deadbeating in a doubles game gives your partner all your countries (effectively doubling their haul each turn). that's how.
2007-12-05 05:05:51 - Butswana: bonkey, you have a lot to learn my friend
2007-12-05 15:14:49 - Bonquida: yes, but deadbeating also wastes 9 troops (since you aren't collecting for three turns) and if the other teams are giving equal attention to all opponents, you will be really hurting for those 9 armies.
2007-12-05 15:15:21 - Bonquida: Also, while the remaining teammate doubles his armies, the team loses the 3 from having the other teammate in play
2007-12-05 15:15:43 - Bonquida: and I never said I was using LRR as a pawn
2007-12-05 15:17:10 - Bonquida: Furthermore, I really can;t understand the condescention and the hostility
2007-12-05 15:17:58 - Bonquida: I've been giving my opinion and instead of disagreeing with me, you resort to name calling
2007-12-05 15:31:41 - Bonquida: the reason LRR is doing well is not because his partner deadbeated, its because for about 3 turns nobody attacked him (3-5)
2007-12-05 15:44:30 - Bonquida: Butswana, you aren't as bad
2007-12-05 16:25:17 - ABO401: You're only saying that because you don't have to smell his breath. Trust me, he's worse.
2007-12-05 16:25:55 - ABO401: and i appreciate that you're contrite now, but this all started with your "rhetoric" comment, which either was, or seemed, unnecessarily crass and sarcastic.
2007-12-06 03:21:16 - Bonquida: I apologize for the rhetoric comment. I'm willing to put it in the past. Strategically, this has been a very interesting game.
2007-12-06 04:36:12 - Butswana: agreed, let's move on
2007-12-06 05:32:11 - misterman10: This is funny.
2007-12-06 14:48:31 - ABO401: agreed. good game all. and who flamed in the chatrooms? how did misterman10 get word of this?
2007-12-07 02:11:24 - Bonquida: Let's make this interesting
2007-12-07 02:12:53 - Bonquida: dang
2007-12-07 02:17:47 - Bonquida: that was really close
2007-12-08 15:35:02 - Bonquida: yeah, that's what I was afraid of
2007-12-08 18:33:02 - LRR8098: Good game to all
