2008-04-30 10:50:10 - Dark Rabbit: Further to Red's PM of "Because you failed to disrupt his bonus for holding the entire Red Mountain, Silver now gets +8 bonus armies (plus territory count). Silver will now win the game"
2008-04-30 10:50:54 - Dark Rabbit: Red - you hold as many territories as Silver does, and a +5 pyramid of your own, plus two Kings.
2008-04-30 10:51:55 - Dark Rabbit: I made a tactical decision - I don't know if it was the right one yet, however it seemed in my best interest to allow Silver to keep his pyramid bonus, as you have far stronger defenses than he does.
2008-04-30 10:52:39 - Dark Rabbit: If he doesn't expend his extra resources breaking you, then yes, I've made the wrong tactical decision - but then he'll have you /and/ me trying to break him from both sides.
2008-04-30 10:53:00 - Dark Rabbit: And in future, if you want to comment on a game, do so in the chat please.
2008-04-30 21:47:17 - Gnome de Guerre: We shall see which way Silver breaks, and break he shall with his 8 bonus armies. Please forgive me for private-messaging you something that I felt better kept out of open game chat; now everyone knows, and this may affect the game. Sorry to offend you.
2008-04-30 21:53:17 - Gnome de Guerre: Well, look at that.... Silver decided to attack gold instead of risking worse casualties against red.
2008-04-30 21:55:07 - Gnome de Guerre: Amazingly, silver also somehow forgot to reinforce R3, leaving it wide open for attack your stack of 4 armies (plus deployments) on G2.
2008-04-30 22:10:47 - Gnome de Guerre: Wow, look at that; silver decided to attack gold after all (instead of suffering heavier casualties by going after me).
2008-04-30 22:18:54 - Gnome de Guerre: Man, I really wanna take my turn, but I gotta run out for a bit. I'll leave the game like it is.... Hopefully gold will attack silver to disrupt the Red Mountain bonus with gold's 4 armies on G2 against silver's 1 army on R3.
2008-04-30 22:22:22 - Gnome de Guerre: ^^^correction -- silver decided to attack GREEN, but left gold untouched....
2008-04-30 22:36:29 - Dark Rabbit: I'm not offended - however your message smacked of trying to push me into paranoia attacking Silver, your main enemy. If you'd sent similar messages to any of the others, they deserved to see that you'd done so.
2008-05-01 01:28:44 - Gnome de Guerre: LOL roger that! I didn't see it from your perspective in that way until just now! Wow.... Well, still, now you and everyone else (especially Silver) sees what you must do to ensure your survival:
2008-05-01 01:29:50 - Gnome de Guerre: Gold, when it's your turn, you absolutely have to attack Silver's *ONE* army in R3 with your *FOUR* armies in G2 in order to disrupt his +8 bonus for holding the entire Red Mountain!
2008-05-01 01:30:34 - Gnome de Guerre: ...because I really don't have the resources on my front. Silver has defended every one of his frontieers with extra armies -- except for R3.
2008-05-01 01:32:57 - Gnome de Guerre: If you don't stop him, he'll wipe you out. If you don't disrupt his bonus by attacking R3, I don't see any way he would NOT attack you to disrupt your Green Mountain bonus +6....unless (god forbid) Dark Rabbit and Jmajeski777 are secretly in league --
2008-05-01 01:33:04 - Gnome de Guerre: -- or multi-playing.
2008-05-01 01:34:02 - Gnome de Guerre: BTW, green, I feel bad for you in your position; I've been in the same position many times. I'd like to know what you're thinking right now....
2008-05-01 09:05:24 - Dark Rabbit: Given you're on so much, why don't you take your turn? It wouldn't exactly take long.
2008-05-01 09:06:05 - Dark Rabbit: And at a guess, I'd say Green was currently thinking "Don't notice me!". ;)
2008-05-01 09:07:37 - Dark Rabbit: Oh, and you so have the resources to easily break Silver's mountain. You've even got 2 armies you can fortify in to replace losses, so it may not even take any of your reinforcements. I'm not going to guarantee you something you should be doing yourself.
2008-05-01 15:05:45 - Gnome de Guerre: ^^ LOL @ Green "Don
2008-05-01 15:06:24 - Gnome de Guerre: 't notice me!" __________________ Friggin' Enter being right next to Apostrophe!
2008-05-01 15:07:57 - Gnome de Guerre: Yeah, I dunno, it's a hair under five hours until my window for this turn closes....kinda enjoying just having the board set up the way it is and lust leaving it for a little while. Also, my mind totally insn't in the game right now because I'm working.
2008-05-01 15:08:12 - Gnome de Guerre: Also, I'm way too baked to take my turn right now.
2008-05-01 15:09:55 - Gnome de Guerre: However, I will say this -- if I don't disrupt Silver's Red Mountain, that means YOU have to. If you don't, well, then, that smacks of a "secret alliance". I'd like Silver to chime in with some recognition of your armistice if that is the case just cuz.
2008-05-01 15:12:35 - Gnome de Guerre: Of course, you are playing in a style I long ago stopped considering; if this works out for, I'll have to rethink such subtly political positioning. Right now, I'm just using psy-ops. D'oh! There, I went and said it! Darn, darn, darn.
2008-05-01 15:17:19 - Dark Rabbit: :) Yes, yes you are. And there's something to not doing what you want, just because you so desperately want it.
2008-05-01 15:18:05 - Dark Rabbit: When it gets to my turn, we'll see what the position is - in the end though, if Silver and Gold are cooperating then Silver's last turn is very odd behaviour indeed. Why block me off and leave me nowhere to go but into his bonus or a block of his armies?
2008-05-01 17:24:41 - Gnome de Guerre: Yes, I thought that was strange, too -- you see it too. Odd behavior. You would be foolish *not* to hit Silver for the easy card, and just shore up your defenses.
2008-05-01 19:50:09 - Dark Rabbit: Due to the weak card set, I concur.
2008-05-02 08:31:49 - Dark Rabbit: My apologies, however I am now away until Monday. If you are able to see your way to taking your turns slowly, that would be appreciated. Otherwise however I am going to miss turns.
2008-05-02 20:17:46 - Gnome de Guerre: Luckily for you, Dark Rabbit, I am right now all about taking my turns.....slloooooowwwwlllyy. So, I'm not going to take my turn just yet. In fact, I won't be taking this turn until tomorrow afternoon. Have a good weekend, and let's all take our time!
2008-05-03 16:03:51 - Gnome de Guerre: Whoops, actually, I just took out green as of noon Saturday, so you're out a turn unless you can log in by noon Sunday, Dark Rabbit.
2008-05-06 09:39:13 - Dark Rabbit: Such is life.
2008-05-09 08:54:55 - Dark Rabbit: Ouch - that didn't quite go according to plan...
2008-05-12 04:32:23 - Gnome de Guerre: Uh-0h! o_O Now there are only two, with four cards each!
2008-05-12 10:33:44 - Dark Rabbit: I think this one is going to you, but I'll claw against you every step of the way - just can't get enough armies to break that last pyramid.
2008-05-12 10:33:57 - Dark Rabbit: Good game, regardless.
2008-05-12 19:01:45 - Gnome de Guerre: I was just thinking the same thing.....
2008-05-13 15:24:19 - Dark Rabbit: It seems to be see-sawing enough that it's going to come down to the cards.
2008-05-13 21:06:36 - Gnome de Guerre: It always does....except in a no cards game. Well, I've got a set now.
2008-05-14 07:24:38 - Dark Rabbit: And I don't...
2008-05-15 15:53:00 - Dark Rabbit: Your game - well played.
2008-05-16 23:26:35 - Dark Rabbit: Could barely take a territory that time... Ho-hum.
2008-05-17 06:45:59 - Gnome de Guerre: GG!
