I'd much rather pursue someone I think scum.

Well why do you believe dakky21 is town?

I don't necessarily. I'm just trying to grasp why we should lynch someone if people think he's town. I have no problem with people voting for whomever they think is scum ;)

Believe me I have not supporting Dakky and I was going to vote for him until he came out with his claim, I don't want to die early again and granted you have not played in games with Dakky and myself, if you did you would see Dakky is always on my ass and loves to get me killed one way or the other

Actually, this is something worth noticing. Yes, I almost always joke vote you, but lately I've changed my approach. You were supporting me the whole game which is a bit a change of meta I have on you. I don't really read your posts, but now when KJ brought it up, yeah, it seems like you were being defensive the whole time. I feel something isn't right there. It's only a hunch but I don't remember when you were so supportive on anyone.

Guess what: unvote, vote madmitch (and this time it's not a joke).

Which, at that point, why kill a townie to have them shoot what we see as the scummiest person when we could just lynch them without loosing a townie? Also please stop assuming everyone complaining about you is scum cause that does not help town whatsoever.

Basically this.
I can't really tell what dakky's ultimate goal is here, but it doesn't look great for town either way at best, and could be utterly detrimental at worst. More than anything I'm getting a sense that he's just trying to confuse matters.
I like to think that - especially after a failed N1 NK - that scum will focus heavily on engineering a debate that one way or another will get a townie killed. That's what this dakky talk feels like, and I would rather not lynch him at all for fear that his ability could take out a town power role. I've argued recently in another game that keeping a highly suspected scum alive could have some benefits, and this could be one of those rare instances.
That being said I'm only marginally leaning towards dakky actually being scum. I just think there's more benefit to looking elsewhere than taking pot luck with his ability.

In truth, I tend to forget about MM even being here until someone mentions his name so I'm going to agree it's a little dodgy trying to throw you under the bus for inactivity when he's more inactive and less contributory.

You can't call it an OMGUS vote when the first vote was so long ago that I forgot it was still there.
But my point still stands. You made one post - this one:

HotShot53 wrote:If dakky is a vengeful towny, then thorth should definitely not be on the lynch, I don't want dakky to shoot him and us be down 2 town. Dakky, if you can't shoot thorth, who do you think is scum to shoot at?

I don't know about dakky intentionally trying to be lynched... getting lynched just so you can take a mostly random shot seems to be a net negative. I will wait to vote dakky per pik's post, although I think that's a bit complicated to have a second voting like that lol

...before my observation and another one afterwards. Semi-decent but still quiet enough for me to notice. And you're full steam ahead on the plan to attempt to lynch dakky - a scenario that could leave us 2 town down.

This is starting to become a waste of time. We've been talking about dakky for god knows how many pages and what's worse it's mostly the same people.

Lynch dakky or mitch. Given their posts it is highly unlikely they are both on the same team.
If we lynch one of them and they flip town we lynch the other D3.

Dakky seems scummier this game.

And if he is telling the truth about his role then we all hate on LV coz giving dakky a role like this basically accounts to a bastard game.

If you have a reason to lynch someone else then you better build a damn good case because you basically have to convince 9 people to put their thoughts on dakky and mitch aside for the moment to vote for someone else. What I mean is for example if I were to change my vote from dakky it would be for someone I believe is also scum and would be easier to get 9 people to agree on, because without a way to confirm his words no amount of further discussion is gonna convince me he isn't scum.

About the dakky issue, he changed opinion quick on whether he should get lynched, and that may be a ploy to appear more towny, like this time in Balance not Included (where he was scum)

Skoffin wrote:Chu can't die anyway, so I'd say DDS might be better watching Nag. I hide behind DDS, which will clear him if he's town like we assume and give us an extra person tomorrow. We lynch either dakky/DJ today, which should mean only one of them is left to lynch tomorrow.

I'm powerless since Mets died so I guess it's better to lynch me tonight and have DJ tomorrow.

Also, his explanation is kinda clunky. You can't act that scummy and expect people not to vote for you. Therefore, I'm not as uninclined as before to lynching him. Worst case scenario, we lose a townie (dakky) on top of the person we'd normally lynch. I'd rather lynch that person directly instead of lynching dakky as well, but town can still afford to lose dakky if he indeed is vengeful. Either way, I'll keep my vote on BuJ for now, since I want to give LV time to find a replacement.

People said he could be a bomb that kills the last person voting for him, and since he said he could kill anybody, we'd only need to vote one person, the hammer (unless we want to give dakky multiple options). The one voted off (could be anybody, even those on the wagon atm) would need to hammer (who has the other votes on dakky shouldn't matter much because if he said the truth he can kill anybody), so he'd get killed if dakky is a bomb, and killed by dakky if he's telling the truth.

I'm going to keep this simple. Obviously there is still more to learn, but for Day 2 Lynch follow this handy guide:

1. Townish (or scumarining): DirtyDishSoap, Pikanchion, Ragian, Samlen, MudPuppy, ZaBeast, BuJaber, T.R.F.P.B.I*., skoffin, Kamikaze Jawa, MInister Masket

2. Giving off blatant scumminess: madmitch, FloresDelMal, dakky21

We should pick the lynch candidate from category 2, and since Dakky is already far along in the process and may have the 'vengeful' ability we should focus on lynching him now.

@ dakky, if you actually turn out to be town, that would be great, then I recommend you venge-kill madmitch, though Flora is also tempting.

btw, if anybody wants to change their category, here is how you do it:

From 1 to 2: Do everything you can to delay or sabotage the dakky lynch.

From 2 to 1: Clean up you act and fly right (At this point that only applies to mitch & Flora).

Since we learned nothing in D1, voting and unvoting patterns will be the key to who will I target. I also agree we should lynch me today and like Pika suggested make a vote who to kill if you don't want me to pick someone who I think is scummiest. That way a lot of information will come to surface on D3.

So you were not trying to get yourself lynched? So why were you insisting on lynching Thor despite clear evidence that he is town and there is no scenario of him being scum without this being a bastard game?

How dare you Sir. I would just like some more elaboration on why you prefer MM over anyone else, or possibly DDS.

HotShot53 wrote:After re-reading the day, I don't believe dakky and would be willing to vote/hammer him.

I find the timing of this post quite weird. I stated that I would be willing to hammer Dakky, and almost immediately hotshot appears to state the same. Hotshot isn't particularly brave or willing to put his head on the line so I find this quite out of character, but he still chooses not to vote despite saying he is now willing. To me this reads as trying to look like contributing and perhaps trying to look less suspicious to me by also being 'willing to hammer'.

Now onto Mitch - It's already been noted that he is behaving differently than he usually does - people have asked him to change his style so it's good that he has. However, he has been acting very defensively this game - and this game he has probably had far less heat than in most games, so his defensive behaviour is even more bizarre. I think there is a pretty good chance that he is scum.

Going to echo with Bu here and say this discussion isn't getting us anywhere. Going back to my original gut feelers: Vote ZaBeast.

This entire Dakky situation has been nothing but a confusing cluster f*ck. As I stated earlier, I think it's better we seek an alternative and pressure different players.
