USA land of liberty

A Turkish student has been arrested and her student visa cancelled after she attend a peaceful rally showing solidarity with Palestinian civilians being indiscriminately bombed by the Israeli government and protesting US government military support for the bombings:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czrn57340xlo

This comes as numerous other foreign nationals sit in jail for the same reason, with the federal government attempting to cancel their residence rights in retaliation for their attendance at rallies in support of Palestine.

How embarrassing for the US Government that it's been bullied into abandoning one of its fundamental constitutional rights (the first amendment) by a tiny genocidal middle eastern state whose government is supposed to be a US puppet.

Couldn't stand up to Russia, can't stand up to Israel. Could maybe stand up to one gender-neutral McDonald's cashier so long as they're unarmed??

Wow, you're back.

Saxitoxin said you were involved in some sort of industrial latex incident and might not make it. How long will it be before the bandages come off?

Why the f*ck should I (or any American) give a crap about what YOU (or any non-US Citizen) thinks about our immigration policy?

I DON’T.

I personally think Trump is going too far with some of the deportations. At the same time I agree our borders have been too porous and we’ve not done enough to deport unwanted/unwelcome immigrants for the last decade plus. So it was bound to change. I’m sure it’ll settle down once Trump gets his publicity.

We (US Citizens) can debate and decide on how WE want to handle our immigration and we shouldn’t (and I don’t) care what YOU think. Stop buying from us… don’t care. Stop consuming our media… don’t care. Stop relying on our protection… don’t care. England is becoming New Palestine anyway… so keep going that way buddy. Pretty soon you won’t be welcome in parts of London.

If I invite someone into my house, and they start talking about how the Yankees are the best team in Baseball… I have every Right to kick that ass out of my fucking house. Period. No debate.

You talk about voting here… therefore I assume you are a citizen of the USA… therefore your opinions on our immigration policy matter/count. Ralf’s don’t. His opinions matter even less than the immigrants illegally entering (or staying in) this country.

In fact, he matters so little, I wouldn't piss on him if he were on fire.

Speaking of piss....he's so stupid, he couldn't pour piss out of a boot if the instructions were on the heel.

He should just go piss up a rope.....

Right? I'm not sure Cleaveland is vaugly close to consistently good.

I'm no Yankees fan but they're typically better than Cleaveland.

The Toronto birds seem pretty good until it counts.

Ralf, you have terrible timing, everyone left Cali. Metsfanmax moved a few years ago, I am back in Canada, Mook, is probably traveling on business, Jones is probably visiting family on the East coast...

Desert? Have you dialed 0118 999 881 999 119 725 3? They promise nicer ambulances and better looking staff. Maybe try to find a crew working on the Brightline West.

Possibly bad assumption… because you could just be lying. That said it’s an assumption that cost me nothing.

As for Trump and Co. claiming Illegals Aliens (or any non-citizen) voting.
No words… just..

No worth trying to debate this BS. Like trying to debate the Moon Landing with someone who thinks we faked it.
There’s absolutely NOTHING I could say, no PROOF or EVIDENCE I could present, that will change their minds.

How is your OP NOT about immigration?

He’s not arresting an deporting citizens for exercising their Constitutional Right.
(Yet)

People traveling here on Student Visas are here to learn and attend school. I’m parroting a comment made by Rubio (I believe)… but it’s one I am in agreement with. People on Student Visas are here to learn… NOT cause civil disturbances and involve themselves in America Politics. It’s NOT THEIR PLACE. If you want to come learn… great. If you want to apply for permanent residence after school… I’m fine with that. I think that is what has made our country great. A Student Visa is a PRIVILEGE… it is NOT a RIGHT. The State Department has every legal right to rescind Student Visas. PERIOD.

These foreign students are welcome to go home and speak whatever fucking BS they wanna speak in their home countries. I don’t care. They’re not being arrested… they’re being deported. They have no right to become activists and disrupt the activities of students who WANT TO LEARN and don’t want to have their building occupied or have their commons blocked or have to listen to racist and pro-terrorist chants while trying to learn.

No rights were trampled in this specific case… the dumb ass student here can continue speaking. Just NOT here.

I think you could find better cases to make your point. The case of the guy who was a student, but is now on a Green Card and is married/engaged to an American… he likely should NOT be deported. His situation is different and I think the State Department is overreaching in that case. There are a few other cases that I’ve seen where the State Department or ICE has acted without full info… like the case of the Brown University affiliated Doctor. I think that may also be a mistake. but have not looked into it too closely.

That said…in general I am 100% in agreement with the idea that political activists here on Student Visas should LOSE their VISAS. There are here to be students, not political activists. If you are skipping classes and shutting down college buildings (or being an activist and encouraging others to do this)… that is the opposite of being a student.

They quite literally do. It's called the First Amendment. The constitution is for everyone in the US.
