Part of my duties as a Suggestions Moderator is to guide suggestions toward a final proposal. For this reason, I have created a poll to try and get some more direction as to where this thread is going. The original post, for now, has been locked for a short period of time to allow for voting. You are allowed only one vote, but you can change your mind and change your vote. I will also see about getting this thread "stickied" for maximum exposure. Any questions, just PM me.

"Too big of a jump?" If coding for one, just code for the others at the same time. If planning on coding for it later, just do it now? Its not like there are going to be problems. Players simply choose not to play the new settings if they don't want to deal with a 5v5 or 6v6 or 2v2v2v2v2v2.

We do not wish to overload the server or the admins. It seems like some people have no patience. :roll: We shall wait and see what the community says.

Do you realize how many Suggestions would have been implemented if the "CHoose not to play the new settings" defense was used every single time?

i realy liked your idea , with 12 players we could made some 5's teams and 6's teams and medals too this 2 new options , it will be more funny and "stategycal" , the colores you have now are good , so i think this must go accepted.
about tinny maps like doodle or feudal , at the moment you cant play 8 guys game in feudal so what the matter if you have the 12 option?!

OMG it is not a reason TO DO IT, It is simply an argument against the people who don't want to play it. If you don't like adding new game types, then don't play them. Players who jump in here to object to new game types should also be arguing against new maps.

I really do love that place. Even if it only had one of the collections it would be pretty good but to have Cars, equipment, motorcycles and airplanes. It's not over rated for me. I understand though. My wife dreads going there because she knows I'll be pouting when she drags me away.

I kind of started this thread just to ask about it. I do hope it goes that direction eventually. I remember when they talked about 8 like it couldn't be done.

So if I understand the server issue, the load goes up exponentially with each added player so to speak?
like 1 player needs 1 server space unit. 2 needs 3. 3 needs 6 sort of thing. So a jump to 9 would add a much bigger load than just one more would seem to need?

im pretty sure lack will do it one step actually...as im quite sure it isnt as hard as it sounds...he upped it from 6 to 8 easily enough...
the hard part will be finding 12 unique colours...
as 8 was damn near impossible...

If people want to up it at all then it needs to be 10. 9 would make it impossible to play doubles, but then again, if you have 10 then it would be impossible to play triples. But either way, it will be fine for standard.

I say go for 10, see if Lack can do it or not.

It does look like we're not going to all agree on some definite number. I reckon if we put the suggestion in, lack will decide what number he wants.

Each additional possible combination would have to be tested as well as making sure new gametypes and medals can be added.

9 players needs 3v3v3 tested but no new medals
10 players would need 2v2v2v2v2 , 3v3v3, and 5v5 tested plus create new 5v5 Quintuples gametype/medal
12 players would need 2v2v2v2v2v2 , 2v2v2v2v2, 3v3v3v3, 3v3v3, 4v4v4, 5v5, and 6v6 tested plus create new gametypes/medals for 5v5 Quintuples and 6v6 Sextuples.

In a way 10 would be more work than 12 because it does not work with triples or quads and would need to create change for 5 on 5. If I were doing it I would put that off or never have that, just an opinion.

Been suggested before, right after 8 players came out. we could then do 3v3v3v3 games! that'd be entertaining... at first. imagine the tournaments? could have a 1 game tournament. the tourny mods would deffinetly implement new rules in relation to game numbers.

Why would anyone vote to keep it at 8? You're not going to lose that option just because there would be a new one with more.

I think if the poll ends in 12 everyone would be happy if it started with 9 and then went to 12. I know I certainly would be.

Here's 12 distinct colours with different letters for "add color codes"for anyone that missed it still. Violet is actually purple but pink uses "P" so I titled it different so you could keep pink to save work in changing and have a different letter for "add color codes". If you look at violet as defined by the intenet colour it looks too close to pink.

Well, the option for twelve players now has 50%. Like I have said before, we need to get a finalised proposal and get it "submitted". I am sure that in the end, it will be lackattack who has the final say as to what will happen.

Nice colour choices, can't see anything better. Just have to make sure all the colours show up on all the maps.

Queen. i Understand your frustration because i too, as a member have seen great ideas die. I know you post quite a bit in this forum, and are very dedicated to your suggestions. Our vote does not have more weight than yours. All you can do for a suggestion, is ask other individuals to come give their input.
