Standard |
In a standard game each player fends for himself and there is only one winner. |
Automatic |
Regions are randomly distributed at the start of the game and each region starts with three troops. |
Sequential |
A player is selected at random to go first and then subsequent players follow in turn. During a team game the play order alternates between the teams. |
Flat Rate |
At the end of your turn if you have conquered at least one region you get 'spoils.' Once you have three of the same color (or three different) these can be traded in at the start of your turn for bonus troops. A set of three reds is worth four bonus troops. Three greens is worth six and three blues is worth 8. A set of three different colors is worth ten bonus troops. If you own any of the regions that you trade-in you get two bonus troops on those regions. |
Chained |
At the end of your turn you can reinforce once from one region to another (they must be connected by regions that you own). |
Yes |
Fog of War masks enemy positions that are not adjacent to your forces (or your team's forces). It also masks region and zone names in the log |
No |
You can only assault from regions held since the start of your turn. If you conquer a region during your turn you cannot assault from it until your next turn. |
None |

24 Hours |
Each player has up to 24 hours to complete a turn. You will get an email notification when it is your turn to play. |

2009-05-12 16:47:17 - mkcummins: i'll be surprised if you're able to hold that, caz.
2009-05-13 13:01:27 - mkcummins: peter, did you not notice i had 5 cards?
2009-05-13 16:52:14 - Peter Gibbons: yes, which is why I opted to take a whack at you first.... though I might do enough damage so all you could do was reconstitute your bonus
2009-05-13 16:52:35 - Peter Gibbons: as you can see, I "sort of" prepared for you coming through the neutral side--but didn't work out as well as I hoped
2009-05-13 23:24:39 - Peter Gibbons: good game yellow
2009-05-14 07:04:04 - Peter Gibbons: you an both hit me again, but I'd note blue has 3 or 4 bonuses and I have 1... so it's your call green
2009-05-14 14:07:27 - mkcummins: no, i'm done with the tug of war for now. i need a couple rounds to lick my wounds.
2009-05-14 14:08:01 - mkcummins: you're a smart player, peter. you too, igo. i'm learning a lot of good techniques watching you guys. thanks.
2009-05-14 14:08:28 - mkcummins: i'm definitely honing my foggy skills. REALLY.
2009-05-14 18:13:16 - mkcummins: thanks, peter. maybe i read too much into it, but it sounded an awful lot like you and i both needed to focus elsewhere...so i didn't hit you again. you implied you weren't going to hit me.
2009-05-14 18:13:25 - mkcummins: again, maybe i read too much into it...
2009-05-14 18:58:11 - Peter Gibbons: um, I'm confused now
2009-05-14 18:58:27 - Peter Gibbons: after I said what I said, you took 5 of my territories and didn't hit blue at all
2009-05-14 18:58:44 - Peter Gibbons: and then I just only took one of yours, left you your bonus, and went after blue's 3 bonuses
2009-05-14 18:59:10 - Peter Gibbons: I only took Luga so I could get at blue
2009-05-15 17:15:55 - Peter Gibbons: can't let you have a second one on our border, green... sorry
2009-05-15 18:50:59 - mkcummins: well, damn. you're absolutely right. that's why i didn't break your bonus again. just took some singles away. sorry, i had that wrong. you did break me up pretty good, though. i didn't attack blue because i would've had to take a stack from you to get to
2009-05-15 18:51:17 - mkcummins: him at the time. couldn't see him at all like i can now...
2009-05-15 18:52:47 - mkcummins: you can let me have that bonus, peter. i'm only trying to help you. ;-0
2009-05-16 20:42:18 - mkcummins: peter, if i can't have my 2nd, then you can't have yours either, bud. ;-)
2009-05-16 20:42:25 - mkcummins: i'm willing to concede, though.
2009-05-16 22:31:04 - Peter Gibbons: oh that was no real attempt to get the second
2009-05-17 06:22:00 - Peter Gibbons: that's the last time I do that without you making a similar run, green... I've been bleeding troops from Valetta and you are stocking up, it seems... we're both dead if you don't start breaking through, too
2009-05-17 16:06:18 - mkcummins: well, i can't tell you how many armies i just took from him, but, i'm contributing, i assure you.
2009-05-18 14:07:02 - mkcummins: makes for an interesting dynamic when all 3 of us will cashin in the same round.
2009-05-19 18:19:16 - mkcummins: sorry, peter. i just got my ass kicked on an 8v2
2009-05-20 03:42:28 - Peter Gibbons: this is getting tougher than I though
2009-05-20 03:42:39 - Peter Gibbons: *thought it would be
2009-05-20 03:42:56 - Peter Gibbons: I opened up a path at least, green--depending on what your cash is
2009-05-20 15:00:08 - mkcummins: peter, i'm going to need it at least for a round if i'm to continue pitching in...
2009-05-20 15:36:10 - igotaished: ouch....that stung
2009-05-20 15:36:10 - Peter Gibbons: fair enough
2009-05-20 15:36:21 - Peter Gibbons: ah... sorry!
2009-05-20 15:37:44 - Peter Gibbons: you've still got that stack though, so we'll see... it was quite the stretch for me to do that
2009-05-20 16:05:59 - igotaished: good job i guess
2009-05-20 16:10:18 - Peter Gibbons: game blue
2009-05-20 16:10:27 - Peter Gibbons: I just screwed up and hit "end turn" when I didn't want to, though
2009-05-20 16:10:39 - Peter Gibbons: gave green at least 4 armies, if not more
2009-05-20 21:55:25 - Peter Gibbons: All comes down to if you have a set, I think
2009-05-20 22:29:18 - mkcummins: ahh, that explains how you shrunk my stack...man, i've got the worst luck with closing out a game. i never have the cards i need and i always lose my stack...
2009-05-20 22:29:43 - mkcummins: i've bled 530 points in the last 2-3 weeks. it's pathetic. thanks for listening.
2009-05-20 23:31:35 - Peter Gibbons: and I just made a big mistake
2009-05-20 23:31:40 - Peter Gibbons: I thought you had taken Xlendi
2009-05-20 23:43:05 - Peter Gibbons: good game, green
2009-05-20 23:56:06 - mkcummins: u2, peter
