2010-11-07 18:13:28 - bobzimmerman: Hello from Ohio, USA.
2010-11-09 22:18:16 - musicalmaven: and from L..I., N.Y.
2010-11-09 23:07:59 - bobzimmerman: What are your musical interests, MM?
2010-11-10 02:05:14 - mcshanester29: gl all
2010-11-16 04:27:17 - bobzimmerman: Good game, mcshanester. Could have left me better spoils....
2010-11-17 17:00:23 - musicalmaven: good game guys. i really got on a lucky roll. hope to see you all again. good luck until then.
2010-11-17 17:49:46 - Homewok: nicely played
2010-11-17 21:17:04 - bobzimmerman: Who is quitting? Come on guys. It's a mere flesh wound. It's obviously all of us against the Maven.
2010-11-18 00:55:00 - musicalmaven: you forgot the biggest opponent i have - the dice!!!!
2010-11-18 00:57:00 - musicalmaven: oh, by the way blue - how did you become someone the rest of us doesn't have to worry about? 19 men just in minn. and 5 cards to cash - in with!!!!
2010-11-18 13:41:58 - bobzimmerman: Well, mm, (my actual initials, by the way), you seemed to be claiming victory a bit earlier. Maybe I misunderstood? You never answered my music question either.
2010-11-18 17:28:37 - bobzimmerman: golf, if you don't hit gray hard, he will take out green, get his spoils and the game will be in his pocket.
2010-11-19 04:42:01 - musicalmaven: a) i never claimed victory - i merely thanked those players for a good game; b) i did respond to your question - but i stupidly hit the note to self button , so you never saw it (nice to know the button really does work).
2010-11-19 04:44:19 - musicalmaven: i repeat my response to you - and hopefully not hit the note to self button again. i never learned to play any instrument, and i certainly cannot sing (ask anyone in my family). i am a fount of information on pop music.
2010-11-19 04:45:21 - musicalmaven: i also asked for, and will again, your full birth date (day, month, year) and i'll give you an example.
2010-11-19 04:46:41 - musicalmaven: hey teal - just curious, are those your initials, or those smb stand for some golf business or method of play?
2010-11-19 19:55:15 - bobzimmerman: 9-27-49
2010-11-20 15:17:32 - smbgolf: those are my initials
2010-11-20 16:19:36 - musicalmaven: damn good dice blue.
2010-11-20 16:25:47 - musicalmaven: on the day you were born the #1 song was vaughn monroe's "someday" (you know, someday you'll want me to want you, when i am strong for somebody new...) it would be his last # 1 hit (he had 8 others in the 40s.)
2010-11-20 16:29:15 - musicalmaven: he would be # 1 until the 1st week of oct., when frankislaine took over with "that lucky old sun". on your 10th birthday # 1 was santo & johnny (a brother act from brooklyn) and their instrumental "sleepwalk" .
2010-11-20 16:33:15 - musicalmaven: they too would leave the top spot in the first week of oct. being replaced by bobby darin's "mack the knife". to complete the decade sweep - on your 20th # 1 was "sugar sugar" by the archies, on your 30th it was "my sharona", by the knack.
2010-11-20 16:36:22 - musicalmaven: for your 40th it was milli vanilli and "girl, i'm gonna miss you" (i'm lip-syncing the song now). on your 50th # 1 was "unpretty" by tlc.
2010-11-20 16:39:32 - musicalmaven: oops - that should be frankie laine - so i can't type either. anyway, i make tapes and cds for people's birthdays, etc., and i also include the # 1 songs on their wedding day, when their kids were born, and other important dates in their lives.
2010-11-20 16:40:35 - musicalmaven: i often include the #1 songs from the r & b charts and the country charts.
2010-11-20 16:42:21 - musicalmaven: so teal, where do you play. if blue plays he'd be somewhere in ohio, i'm on long island.
2010-11-20 18:35:43 - bobzimmerman: Very interesting, mavin. How much of that is in your head vs. the computer? I have always loved Dylan, thus the handle. I play guitar and mandolin and write some tunes. Mostly I play with my friends.
2010-11-21 18:57:50 - bobzimmerman: Mavin, I always hate when I guy skips a turn and smb is doing some nice stacking while we beat each other up. How about we concentrate on knocking him down a bit?
2010-11-21 22:12:53 - musicalmaven: in my head??!! - not at my age. i have books i consult for accuracy and i have all the music. sorry about dylan - he never got to # 1 (only two singles at #2 according to billboard - however, cashbox gave a # 1 with like a rolling stone).
2010-11-21 22:46:49 - bobzimmerman: Now there went some bad dice.
2010-11-22 21:34:56 - musicalmaven: and for me too!!!
2010-11-26 04:45:44 - musicalmaven: damn - since we got down to the 3 of us, i've attacked to large stacks and couldn't even reach 50% in either attack (the attacker is suppose to win 54% of the time)!!! can i have another dose of lousy luck?
2010-11-26 04:48:37 - musicalmaven: since teal said those were his initials i have cashed - in only for 4 and 6 and i have only beaten 24 men, but lost 48 doing so (against 2 defenders).
2010-11-26 05:14:39 - bobzimmerman: Well, why are you attacking me? I just want to be your friend.
2010-11-26 05:15:22 - bobzimmerman: Seriously, it may be too late, but how about a truce until we get this game back in balance?
2010-11-26 16:17:30 - musicalmaven: a truce is nice - but take a look - i can't attack him i only have 2 in iowa and he has 10 in minn, and my 2 there will be gone by the time i go again.
2010-11-26 17:41:29 - bobzimmerman: It's game over then. Good game, guys.
2010-11-27 15:36:58 - smbgolf: gg
