This is an official CLA Sanctioned Event
Participants must be CLA-eligible members meaning they have completed at least one 40+ challenge and adhere to the 1 competitive clan rule.
Overview
- The league will involve four phases:
- In the first phase, there will be 3 to 5 divisions with 5 to 8 clans per division, according to the number of clans entering.
- In the second phase there will be up to 4 divisions, with 5 to 8 clans per division. Again, this will be according to the number of clans entering. Ideally the second phase will involve divisions of 8 clans.
- Phase 3 will involve the top 4 clans in each division from Phase 2. Scores will reset to 0.
- The Final Phase will be a Championship Round between the top 2 clans in each division from Phase 3. Scores will reset to 0.
- In the first phase, there will be 3 to 5 divisions with 5 to 8 clans per division, according to the number of clans entering.
- In each of the first 2 Phases, each clan will play all other clans in their division once. Each 'round' will involve 4-Dbls 4-Trips 4-Quads. Each clan will play 2-Dbls 2-Trips 2-Quads home & 2-Dbls 2-Trips 2-Quads away in each round. In a 6-clan division this will be a total of 60 games (this works out to be 180 player spots in Phase 1). In a 8-clan division this will be a total of 84 games (this works out to be 252 player spots in Phase 1).
- In phases 3 each clan will play all other clans in their division once. Each 'round' will involve 6-Dbls 6-Trips 6-Quads. Each clan will play 3-Dbls 3-Trips 3-Quads home & 3-Dbls 3-Trips 3-Quads away in each round. This will be a total of 54 games (this works out to be 162 player spots in Phase 3).
- Championship Matches will be a 41 game clan war involving 8 doubles, 16 triples, and 16 quads. All games to be played in 2 sets - first set will be 16 quad games and 1 tie-breaker game (Random Triples - Esc, Chained, Sunny). The second set will be 8 doubles and 16 triple games.
- Both sets will be split evenly between home and away games.
- The second sets will commence 1 week after the first set.
- Clans will be placed in divisions in phase one based on the Algorithm ranking system. Clans will be divided into a number of ranking tiers (according to the number of divisions that there will be in phase two. Divisions will have equal numbers of clans from the upper and middle tiers.
- In the second to fourth phases the divisions will not play each other, rather they will act as individual divisions and play for separate championships.
- For each round, clans score 2 points for a win and 1 point if scores are tied (6-6).
- League position is determined firstly by Total Points, then by Total Games Won, then by comparing Head-to-Head rounds between any tied teams. If this still does not separate teams then a best-of-3 Play-Off will take-place (Random Trips, Escalating, Chained, Sunny).
- All clans from previous year will have first right of refusal the following year.
- If a clan for any reason drops out after league starts then any rounds completed or incomplete are then not included in league table calculations (results may still contribute towards other statistics such as clan ranking and medal awards). The clan will then have to demonstrate a change of leadership and/or serious improvement in dedication to clan events in order to participate in future seasons.
- League Directors have the first right of refusal to any clan if they feel that its in the best interest of the league to decline there application into the league.
- Players can only play for 1 clan through the entire League season (Phases 1 to 4). If a player changes clans mid-season, he cannot play for the second clan, although he may still be able to qualify for a medal with the original clan.
- A player that was not with another participating clans that joins a clan mid stream may play but might or might not qualify for medals.
- Submissions to enter must be made by Midnight CC time 02 Jan 2012.
- League Directors will then fine-tune the format (according to the number of clans entering) and determine a schedule of dates for each round of games.
- Division Organizers will then create schedules for Phase One which will be posted by, or on, Jan 05 2012. Clan contacts will also receive a PM to alert them to the posting of the schedule.
- Clan Contacts must PM their Division Organizers players, maps and settings for their home games by Midnight CC time 15 Jan 2012 (see below).
