Concise description:

• After a team game has been created, instead of only having one "join game" link, have one saying join team 1, another for join team 2, and so on.

Specifics:

• Much what it says above, an opportunity for players to join separate teams for team games. The join team 1 will put a player as the first player, team 2 as the 3rd, then 4th player (for doubles) and so on. After all slots for a team are full, the join team x button will be removed.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

• Why is this needed? This will speed up the starting of team games and make them easier to organise. A number of team game tournaments have been ruined by 1 person not being able to join for team one and so slowing the entire tournament (for example at the moment The Battle Of Emperors has been stalled). Whereas if this is implemented as long as people join the right team the other teams can also join straight away. Rather than having to wait for a replacement.

Specifics:

• In double, triple, quadruple games, there have been instances where I would like to join the game but not on the team that is currently looking for members so I thought that it would be a good addition if it was possible to pick the team you wish to play on. One might say that I should either not play the game or just wait for the sign-ups to begin on the team I wish to join but some people might not have the time to wait for that to happen and when they do get back the game is full.

• This addition is also needed because some players are not just looking for easy wins (generally speaking: joining games with high ranked players on their teams). Some players would like a greater challenge and a chance at more points so they purposely pit themselves against the high ranked players.

• For example, In a triples game lets say Team 1 is comprised of a Captain and a Major and the map they are playing on is one that I am very good at so I (feeling lucky or confident) should be able to join Team 2.

This will improve the following aspects of the site:

• This will improve the site because it could potentially reduce the amount of games waiting to be filled
• Teamed tournament games would be easier to join
• This change can be implemented at the same as Choose your Color - Yeti_C

What you do is on the right where there is "-empty-" - replace this with a "take this slot" link... and that means you choose that place... also means that once you're in a slot - then you don't get promoted up if people drop out above you...

In general I like your idea. But I don't think that it is an issue that should be a high priority either.

sometimes i play with the same 2 people in a trips game.... we find a game we want to play and in the few seconds delay between us joining someone else has beaten one of us in! a fix for this would be a good idea.
