This will be the Beta Race down the Alpha Peak of the CC Mountain Range.
If people like the format I will expand it to more. So if you play expect a pm asking for feedback at the end.
You will be ski racing down the mountain. There will be ten sections (maps, see below). Each will be 20 rounds with each round counting as a second. If you beat your opponent in 9 rounds, then that section took you 9 seconds to go through. 12 rounds it took you 12 seconds. If you lose it took you 20 seconds. As an additional incentive to the defender, if you win in 5 or less rounds then 4 seconds will be taken off of your overall score. 10 or less, 2 seconds.
So you want to get through each section in as few seconds (rounds on the map) as possible. The winner will be the one with the quickest time.
Conversely, if you are the opponent and fellow racer (on your own set) you want to delay the racer as much as possible so your score will better hold up. You as the opponent represent, the terrain difficulty, steepness, snow condition, etc. You want to make the section as difficult as possible for the racer. (You will be the opponent on each map but with a different racer (random.org))
I need multiples of 11 to do this and I want a minimum of 22 to start.
I will try to run the races concurrently so that at any one time you are racing and defending (someone, a different person each time). It will make following the race on the spreadsheet more interesting as well. I will issue new games as each racer finishes a section. The game load should not go over 4 and will probably be only two at a time. (If a Freemium wishes to devote all four slots, they may join.)
All maps are 20 rounds, Auto, Seq, the rest as indicated next to the map.
If an opponent fails to pick up a round, they will be replaced by a random (random.org) player. Please try to enter within 24 hours. I will allow 48 before replacing you. So it is possible that you would have to pick up an extra defense round. The player who deadbeats will incur a 20 second penalty.
If there is a tie, then those tied will race two sections (maps, starting with 1 and 2) and you will be racer and defender. If necessary, a third map, etc. until there is no longer a tie.

Just to remind people since this is a new format. Yes, these are 1v1 races.
If you are player 1, the red player, you are the Skier. You want to get down the hill as fast as possible. Each round is one second on your time. The worst you can do is 20 seconds. (games are limited to 20 rounds) If you are losing don't concede quickly. If the hill (player 2) beats you in less than 10 turns they get a bonus.
If you are player 2, the green player, you are the hill, the condition of the snow, the tightness of the course, etc. You want the game to take as long as possible or for you to win. Remember the longer (#of rounds) that it takes, the higher the time for the skier. You are competing against this skier on the same course so don't say gg and quit, make them chase you around the map and use up time (number of rounds). Also if you can win in 5 rounds or less you get a -4 second bonus. 10 or less a -2 second bonus.
If someone doesn't pick up their game within 24 hours, these of course will be reversed. Please try to accept your game within twenty four hours especially if you are red.

Orkses is never defeated in battle. If we win we win, if we die we die fighting so it don't count. If we runs for it we don't die neither, cos we can come back for annuver go, see!
