You know, Israel is, ironically enough, the only place in the Middle East where Christians aren't being killed or persecuted.

Where Muslims, although treated the same way in the middle east as Democrats treat Republican African Americans, actually want to be associated with the nation.

But Seriously, the Core Jewish Population is 13.9 million people. Over half (6.8 million) is in the United States. Of the remaining, 6,1 million are in Israel and there are 1.1 million in Europe. When you have countries that only have populations like in the number of 9, and when you have neighbors that actively try to kick you out (there used to be a nice Jewish population in Iraq until the US messed that nation up by toppling their dictator) you get concentrations.

In the past, they used to be crappy concentrations called ghettos. Now they are tourist traps, at least they would be if their neighbors didn't lob so many missiles.

Why Palestinians Still Live in Refugee Camps

Palestinians still live in refugee camps, even when the camps are in Palestinian Authority controlled areas, because the PLO opposes and prevents refugee resettlement. As the PLO slogan goes, A Palestinian refugee never moves out of his camp except to return home (ie, to Israel).

While the PLO has done its best to keep Palestinians in refugee camps, Israel has done its best to move Palestinians out of the camps and into new homes. Israel even started a heavily subsidized “build-your-own-home” program for Palestinian refugees.

Perhaps thanks to this support from the UN, the PLO began threatening to kill any refugee who would move out of the camps. After a few such attacks, the build-your-own-home program died, and that is why there are still Palestinians refugee camps in Gaza.

Who is keeping these people in the camps, killing them if they attempt to escape. HINT: It's not Israel.

As an aside, the highest ranking Jewish politician in Italy in the last 100 years was Guido Jung, a Palermo merchant who joined the Fascist Party early on and, after the coup, was elected to the new House of Corporations. He was appointed Minister of Finance by Mussolini and elevated to the Grand Council of Fascism. Afterwards, he volunteered for service with the Italian army and served as an officer during the invasion of Ethiopia.
