F off! it is made in photo shop, but that doesnt really help my bad hand drawings does it. But like I said it is not anything near final, it is just the placement and names of the regions

I guess you better make it a bit smaller so we can get a better overview of the map... I don't know what you mean with the terrs, but further it looks chaotic enough to pass through.

I think a football-field type map would be interesting, since football is, in a sense, basically all about conquering territories anyway.

Also a Hogwarts map would be pretty cool, especially if (and I have no idea if this would be possible--probably not) the boundaries and attack rules (but not, of course, the bonuses) would change (but only slightly--just enough to make things interesting--and following some sort of pattern) every round, to reflect the variable nature of the staircases, secret passageways, etc. in the books.

Coliseum
In the coliseum, there were rooms under the arena floor that could possibly be used as territorys, also all the seats would be used as wel. If the map would represent the coliseum the time in which it was used there could be a battle taking place and have a bonus for unite the gladiators, there could be a bonus for the emporer.
I will have a hand drawn map in a week or two, but i am no good with photoshop so if anyone is interested i would appreciate to have the help with graphics.

Tic-Tac-Toe - 4 In a Row - In 3D!

This is a 4x4x4 map, 64 territory map. Bonus's are only if you can get 4 in a row.

I wrote the game up in Visual Basic a long time ago, and you can go to the site below to download & play it. No, it's NOT a virus, and doesn't even install. I was in highschool when I wrote it...so like 1997.

Hold Asia on Classic

Postby lackattack on Thu Dec 06, 2007 9:49 pm

We've all played the Classic map a zillion times. But how often do you see someone get the 7 army bonus for Asia? Very rarely. I think it would make good gameplay if Asia was an objective on the Classic map.

I'm not suggesting we have a 2nd Classic map, though. I do suggest we either make or revamp an existing map with a similar balance and set the big continent as an objective.

Any takers?

I don't like the idea of 'revamping' gameplay on an existing map.

I do think that there should/could be an option of playing certain maps with objectives.

Eg: On Europe you would have the option of playing an objective game where holding Germany is the objective.

Or, like you said, on classic you have an Objective option that would make Asia the objective

You should have posted this in the Map Ideas Sticky at the top :P It would be interesting to see a large continent as an objective though. Maybe not as big as Asia, but as big as North America is good

It would be better to just make a new map... it is of course possible to have a map with the exact same specs as Classic, but that looks completely different. A good example of this is USA: take away two of the attack routes from the rockies and it's classic.

Basically what you're talking about is a map with a big central continent as an objective with side skirmishes to secure bonuses. I like it, but it needs a new theme... a city would work nicely for this. New York City: Battle for Manhattan? Los Angeles and its surrounding suburbia? London: hold all of tube zone 1 and win? Las Vegas: Control the Strip?

I'm suggesting we have a map where you win the game if you can hold the "big" continent.

I see a lot of creative things coming out of the foundry, but we're not making good use of the "objective" feature.

So seeing as how noncontinental maps are coming in quickly, do you think we should have roads?

I'm thinking a road should let you attack two countries in front or behind you (on the same road). Any ideas?
