A 1v1 seven game knock-out, 96-player bracket style tournament with a slight twist.
A 96 player version will have a three-way mexican stand-off as the first round, where each player plays his home maps against one and his away maps against another opponent. The one that wins the most games advance to the winner's bracket, and the one in second place advances to the loser's bracket, while the third is eliminated. The random map games will only be used as tie breakers.
We start with 96 players. The 32 winners advance to round 3, while the 32 losers go to round 2. The losers in round 2 are eliminated, while the winners go head-to-head with the losers of round 3. The 8 winners of this round then go on to face the winners of round 3. Now the process is repeated with the remaining 32 players, and again with eight and so on. Basically you have to lose twice to be eliminated.
Each player chooses three maps (you can't choose three of the same map, if you only pick one then the other two will be set to random) and settings (troops, spoils, reinforcements, fog) (no freestyle, please) to be their home grounds. Please state your preferences when signing up. The matches will be played once on each of the two players’ home grounds, and then one final game on a random map, with the settings most commonly used by those two players’ home ground settings. If there are no commons settings, CC defaults will be used.
Maps can be changed at any time, for any reason. As long as the game hasn't been made yet.
Freemiums are welcome. I will send you the seven games in one PM. There will be a 48 hour deadline to sign in to the first of the seven games. After finishing a game there will be a deadline of 24 hours to sign up to the next one (this is concerning the seven games of one match). If you fail to do so within the deadline the game will be forfeit. If you fail to sign in to the first game, you will be replaced. If a player needs to be replaced in a round after the first, the player who was eliminated in that same round that won the most games in that round will take the spot. If there is a tie, a deciding game will be played, on a random map.
