Want it fair? (WINNER : HighlanderAttack)

Post by fairman »

Hi,

I'd like to organize a new tournament.
16 players - 1v1 - opponents randomly assigned each turn
Map : Random - Seq - Auto - Esc - Chained - Sunny - Casual

It will be a best of 5 games ... but not realy a best of 5 as each turn you can choose before the start of round 2 - to cancel 1 game.

To be clear, you start 5 games against the same opponent, you play your first turn and before the second start, you can choose 1 of the 5 games and canceled the result of this one.
Your opponent do the same, so the result will be a best of 3 games (even if you play 5)
That will neutralize some unfair drop.
IMPORTANT: You have to write "CANCEL" in the chat before the start of round 2, if you don't, one of your win will be canceled.

For any question please PM me.

Good luck all
-What happens if it is a draw (i.e. one person cancels, but the other does not/forgets)?
You cancel game 3. The other forget to cancel. The results are for you WLLWL.
Game 3 is canceled and one of the win of your opponents is canceled as he forgets to cancel.
So results are for you WccWL

-What happens if you don't decide to cancel a game?
One of your win is canceled

-Is it mandatory to cancel a game?
Yes or you loose one of your win.

- Period, or just mandatory to cancel a game before round 2 if you want to cancel it?
Mandatory to write cancel in the chat of one game before the start of round2 (I'll check the log)

- And do you have to cancel it before the log says incrementing to round 2, or just before you begin your turn on round 2?
Before a player start the round2.

-Will you remind player to do it?
No

-when you send out the games, would you consider sending a PM to all players, reminding us that we need to cancel a game? Not reminding us in individual games, but just a general PM at the beginning?
Ok for a PM just before the invitation
