I am Number One! = General Achievement Medal.........
Playing in a team gives you the opportunity to show how good you are at helping your team. This time, you have to look after number one while still helping them out.

This is open to all as long as you have 97% turns taken.
(Freeiums must have 3 spots open throughout the tournament to play) I will PM you before we start to ask if you do. If not, I will remove you automatically.
round format, maps, spoils
Round 1.
Image
Auto, Sequential, Escalating, Chained, Sunny.
The 16 players will be teamed up in round one using random.org into quads. The 4 teams will play each other team once. This will be done Round Robin style so 3 games to be played at once. The top 12 players will advance to round 2. (See scoring spoiler for details on how this will be determined).
Round 2.
Image
Auto, Sequential, Flat, Unlimited, Foggy.
This will play out like round one but in triples mode. Again, all players will be grouped together using random.org and play a round robin. (3 games again) The top 8 players will go through to round 3. (See scoring spoiler for details on how this will be determined).
Round 3.
Image
Auto, Sequential, Nuclear, Chained, Sunny.
Doubles time. Like round one and two but in doubles mode. Top 4 players go into round 4.
Round 4 / Final.
Image
Auto, Sequential, Flat, Adjacent, Sunny.
Singles time. A four person game where the winner takes all. (Maybe)

Tie Breakers.
If a tie on points during the rounds occur (determining on who goes into the next round or the winner of the tournament), a single game on that rounds map and spoils will happen. How ever many spots need to be filled will determine on how many go on / win.
Scoring
All points will be reset to zero after each round.
In team games, every opponent you kill earns you one point.
A win earns your whole team one point, as long as they are still in the game.
If you are eliminated from a game, you will receive no points. (Even if you make a kill(s) and your team wins)
Singles, a kill gets you one point. The win gets you one point.
Tie Breakers give no points.
i am number one
A huge thank you to Lindax for allowing this. :D And to DJENRE for giving me the title for it.
To earn a general achievement medal in this tournament, all you have to do is collect points (see scoring spoiler for details).
After the tournament is finished, each players points will be accumulated, with the highest point scorer getting the medal. If the highest point scorer is the tournament winner, the second highest point scorer will win it.
Remember, during the tournament, all points will reset to zero after every round.

getting into games
I will use auto joins for all team games. You will have 48 hours to accept all 3 games.
Any tie breaker games will have one invite of 24 hours. If you do not accept, you are out.
The final will have one invite of 24 hours. Again, if you miss it, you are out.
If you have problems with getting into games (life does happen sometimes), let me know and we can work something out.

If you have any questions, ask them now.

I'm in.

Question about the scoring though; if someone gets eliminated, they get no points? That means at least 8 players in round 1 will receive no points because their whole team will be eliminated. How will you determine who is in the top 12 when AT LEAST 8 players will have 0 points?

Am I reading this wrong?

3 games played per round. If a team is beaten 3 times, then those 4 players will get 0 points for the round. For a person to get a point, the team must win one of the 3 games, more points given when they kill an opponent. It is feasible for a player in round one to end up with no points or 24 points. In between is a big area for point scoring.

A player with 3 losses in round one - 0 points.
A player with 3 wins, 5 kills of opponent players will score...
3+5=8 points.

I also have to say I absolutely HATE your scoring system.
So it does not pay for your teammate to behave as a teamate,, that sucks

It does pay for a team mate to play as a team, because if a team loses, all points for that team go. By helping a team mate win the match, you also guarantee yourself at least 1 point for winning the game. And one point is better than the 0 the other team gets.
That is why the tournament is called...

Looking out for Number One!

and not,

Help a team mate win this tournament. :D

But thanks for joining.

This is also a bit of a trial for me to see how it will work out for a future tournament. One that I hope will be much bigger.
