The tournament will be set up in a bracket style with 16 teams. The matchups will be random using Challonge.

Play on your 11 home maps, your opponents 11 home maps, and 11 random maps. This is 33 games. The team with the most games won wins the matchup.

So you can have the same team in all trips and dubs?

Only one home map?

It will be 33 games per round. We will try to play 11 games at a time, but if freemiums sign up, we'll play less. The scoring system is in the first post. It is based simply on games won. You need to win 17 games to move on to the next round.

11 games at a time, means that it would be 7 games at a time per person. If freemiums sign up, then we will do 5-6 games at a time, which would be 3-4 games per person.

You need to have a home map and settings for each team. They can be the same for every team or different for every team. Your choice.

Yes, it is 4 players per team only. If the players were
    chapcrap
    happyfeet
    mviola
    IcePack

The teams would be:
  1. Quads
    1. chapcrap
      happyfeet
      mviola
      IcePack
  2. Triples
    1. chapcrap
      happyfeet
      mviola
    2. chapcrap
      happyfeet
      IcePack
    3. chapcrap
      IcePack
      mviola
    4. IcePack
      mviola
      happyfeet
  3. Doubles
    1. chapcrap
      happyfeet
    2. chapcrap
      mviola
    3. chapcrap
      IcePack
    4. happyfeet
      mviola
    5. happyfeet
      IcePack
    6. mviola
      IcePack

It's a little close to something like a clan war, but it's open to the public and it only requires 4 people per team, not 10 or more like a clan war.

So would you have to play all of your "home games" on the same map? Some maps are simply better for different number of players, and I wouldnt want to play so many games on the same map... I will sign up a team if it is not the case, and we'd be allowed to pick different maps for doubles, trips, and quads however.

Thanks guys.

You can have whatever maps you want. If you want the same map for all 11 that is fine. If you want a 11 different maps that is fine. Whatever you want for your home maps.

Yes, Auto/Seq is good.

But why so many doubles games? Can't we do 3,4,4?
6,4,1 is ridiculous... might as well just call it a dubs tourney...

You do realize that the recent Clan League was 4 quads/3 trips/2 dubs, right?
That was done for a reason. Dubs suck.

More trips and quads, please.

Barking up the wrong tree. The tournament format is set. We already have 8 entries into the tournament. We aren't changing it.

I could be wrong but it looks like the set up was designed to use every team combination. If you reduced your dubs games you'd be missing out on two combos.

I saw you mentioned you will try to play 11 games at once. I would be inclined to play if you could ensure we only play 11. That would mean 11 games are thrown out and i would have to play in 7 of them. That is near my maximum game load so I would hate to have to play in 22 at once or anything. So, would it be where basically we play all of our home maps, and then once those are done we play all of our opponents home maps, and then when they are done, the random maps?

Basically, I just want some assurance that I won't have to join 22 games at once and won't be penalized for waiting for the previous games to finish up.

Yes, it will be how you are wanting it. We will do one group's home games, then another group's home games and then the random games. (Maybe not in that order) 11 at a time will be the maximum we will do. That's 88 games to keep track of at once for me and IcePack.
