Two Person Play Option[Done]

Postby KoolBak on Mon Jun 12, 2006 5:33 pm

OK, we beat this to death in the wrong column previously, and hope to do it again here.

Yeah, I've heard the potential abuse issue with multis but that exissts in 3, 4, etc person games as well.....I simply think it would be great to improve real time action to have the 2 person option like on the board game. There are many times I KNOW one other person is on line and avail, but finding a third or fourth proves to be impossible...and I do not think I have ever seen one of my real time games come to a conclusion REAL TIME.....

2 player games bore me... I'd rather see 8 player games...

what would really be fun would be to have a really, really large map
(like that world map someone once suggested)
and 4 triple teams...

*cough* back on topic...

i think have 2 player games would be good because i think it would create alot of competition and new kinds of tournaments, and epically find out whose the best of two people.

I think winning a two player game doesn't take a lot of skill, it just relies on luck and correct deployment. Anyone can hit a perfect game in those two areas pretty quickly. The real skill element in any Risk game is psychological, which only really comes into play in 3 player+ games.

two player option could be great for a large knockout tournament though

lets say the top 200 or top 400... or even top 600 on scoreboard - that will be 100, 200 or 300 games in round 1

then half of them will be knocked out and round 2 can start... etc....

Now wats the point i that. Sure their score would go up. But if your main thing is to get high on the score board, then let them. Just play risk how its suppose to be played. Killing everyone

yes...but if someone REALLY wants to cheat, they'll find a way...like creating 3 or 4 or 5 more accounts...

most of the people lack and twill have busted have like 5 accounts...so they are going to cheat one way or the other...

beyond that...

I love the idea...and my first one on one opponent?? HIGHBORN    BEWARE, BABY BOY!!!

NO NO NO NO NO...all games need to count (unless we have the option of haveing them count or not)...if anything this will make determining cheaters easier...

DISCLAIMER: If this ever does go into effect, Highborn and I are not multis...but I am going to play him over and over and over again because beating him is hella satisfactory and I want all of his points!!!!
