King of NYC!

I noticed that NYC had already been suggested and I have no idea why no one has gone forward with it. I found a great blue print to work from, but I think it should vary from the avg map kind of like USA Apocalypse, but with a mafioso over tone. Maybe a bonus for hits or moving up the family line.

Not bad, but I don't like it....it's kind of fruity.

Anyone like the King of NYC idea, a darker New York.

I think that since theres a NYC map currently being made you should choose a different city if you want this idea. Perhaps Chicago.

Wow, did you read anything in this thread before you posted?

There's a USA and a USA Apocalypse so why can't there be 2 New York maps...wait there isn't even one yet. I think a gangs of New York motif would be killer hey.

Or wait...LA, Bloods vs Crips. now that would be cool.

I also suggested a Gangs of NY style map, but IMHO you need to focus on downtown Manhattan and maybe Greenpoint in Brooklyn. These wars were between one block and another, not as far as The Bronx and Coney Island.

The maximum geographic range I want to see is something like this from 1850:

Yes I did read the thread. You thought the NYC map wasn't being made currently (the old one was abandoned but there is one being worked on right now).

And then you said this would be different but didn't really give a suggestion as to how it would be different. "Moving up the family line"? I'm not sure what that means in terms of gameplay.

You can do the map if you want for you'd have to make it sufficiently different from the NYC map to be worth your time....which is why I suggested just choosing a different city.
