JR's 1 vs 1 challenge II [Winner: killmanic]

Postby JOHNNYROCKET24 on Sat Nov 29, 2008 3:27 pm

Format

16 player single elimination challenge ( 3 alternates )

Seeds will be assigned the day the games are created. I will check the scoreboard and collect everyones score for accuracy. Number 1 plays number 16. Number 2 plays number 15, etc. So get those games completed that you know you won. 8-)

2,000 points are required to play in this challenge. Again, you need to have your score at this minimum the day the games are created...not when you sign up. No exceptions.

all games will be played seq/esc/chain/foggy

maps will be:

round 1- Age of Realms 1
round 2- Age of Realms 2
round 3- Age of Realms 3
round 4- Feudal War

once the games are created you will receive a PM with your game number and password giving you 24 hours to join or you forfeit the game. From there I will select an alternate to fill your slot. They will be given 24 hours, etc.

If your the lucky winner that survives all 4 rounds you will be crowned JR's second 1 vs 1 challenge winner and your name will appear on top of a published list with many more 1 vs 1 challenge tourneys to come. 8-)

All CC rules will apply
Disputes must be published in this post for me to investigate. I will make all final calls.

Change to foggy, sunny sucks for all aor.

For feudal sunny works though.

If you change to foggy on the aor games, then count me in.

My post is perfectly on topic. You are discriminating against the spirit of tournaments and not allowing open sign ups. I hope this tournament, and other similar ones, will not be allowed.

C'mon bones, let's keep it constructive and on topic. I respect your opinion, but this is not the appropriate place to discuss it. Thanks. ;)

So I'm not allowed to question the sign up process of a particular tournament INSIDE that tournament's thread? That seems rather silly and wrong.

The first two posts also questioned how JR set up this tournament and involved players not wanting to sign up unless things changed. That is no different than me trying to get the elitist point restriction taken away.

I'll play for the challenge but this won't be very pretty. I haven't done AOR 1 or 2 in months and I have never played AOR 3 or feudal. oh well

Yes, you are certainly allowed to question the sign up process. But, not within the thread. Currently, his sign up requirements are within the rules. If you would like to discuss or debate the matter, Suggs and Bugs is the place to do it. Or, feel free to PM myself or Night. Your opinions are valued and I'd be happy to continue this conversation elsewhere.

Regarding the first 2 posts, they addressed issues of gameplay, not CC policy. Surely, you can see the difference ;)

JR is just trying to run his tourney. He is within the rules and has done nothing wrong. Please don't take it out on him or spam his thread. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you...in a different place.

2 suggestions: put AoR somewhere in the thread title (better advertising), and perhaps knock the entry point requirement down to 2200 or 2300 to open up the potential market
