I really like the way you are now using insets on the maps.
( For examples see Battle for Iraq, and Roman Imperium maps.)

I have always loved maps. Particularly the ones found in the covers of most fantasy novels and D&D books. And I have drawn more than a few.

I think the way these could be used ...

Yup I have had good dice.
And those folk against whom yours sucked. Thier dice must have been good.

What about a Norse mythology theme, The nine worlds and Ygdrisil the world tree.
Just a thought.
