In games with 4 or more players, there's usually someone who goes for a small bonus early. Sometimes they lucked into the advantageous position, and sometimes they skillfully rooted it out.

This post has a few questions.

Does the organizer actually have to join the game to set them up? I thought it worked differently. Either way spearfish, I've looked at some of the other match-ups, and it looks like we're not the only ones waiting to start.

Hmmm...you'd probably have to try and see it objectively when you ask yourself, "How many times could the "fat guy" in the middle have actually broken yellow had he tried?" Then if he could have succeeded often, but for some reason decided not to, would he have benefited from the situation ...

Missing a turn is penalty enough. Deferring reduces the surprise involved when/if they decide to come back.

The best advice I could give is, never rely on another player to do something that you would consider to be "the obvious smart thing to do" such as break a bonus. But also, never assume that ...
