Re: Specific Game API

It might not be a recent change, since I was gone for a couple of months...

But before when you were choosing what to reinforce, the boxes were arranged:

[# Troops] [Source] [Destination]

And they aren't anymore :(.

Re: Specific Game API

Indeed. Honestly, I can't stand the changes to the interface concerning how reinforcements are handled.

Re: Premium membership

I might buy premium, but I'd spend way too much time here if I did (I already do!). Plus, a brand new risk set is only $20 (10 pounds), and that lasts 5-10 years if you take care of it.

The problem is that CC is the only place I know of where there's a pool of 500+ playing RISK at any given time ...

(Yes, he knows you were referring to the conversion factor)

I did get it last night, it's very nice - I'm already in about 20 games and have played a handful of speeds. $2 or £1 monthly is pretty much a throwaway - a bit over the price of a soda at school. Not so bad :)

Premium membership

Is it worth it? I have the credit card in my hand :) and am considering buying. $2 / month isn't too bad!

Also - is it instant activation or do I have to wait?

Re: CREATE YOUR OWN MAP - Come on it must be easy!

Sounds like a good idea. So basically an editor to make things really really easy for people to make their own maps?

I'd love to see this come to pass. Alas, I have no knowledge of XML, which is how I hear the maps run, or I'd look into it.

Yeah... unless eyalb means something cool in a language I don't know, I have to think eyalb and eyalb44 are the same.

Re: Can you protest ratings?

Something tells me that this new rating system is not a very smart idea. All it does is encourage things like this - 1) saying that ratings will not be subject to moderation, and 2) not requiring that users provide any sort of reasoning for their ratings - screams "abuse me!".

Re: What's the rule on account sitters?

Thanks Wicked. Probably should have checked there first, forgot about those FAQs ;)

I think I'll check with my team in the 8p game to find a sitter for that, and maybe he'll be able to help me out in the other game too.

What's the rule on account sitters?

In one week, June 29th, I will be leaving for a camp I am working at. I will not have access to a computer for six days per week. I have two games ongoing, two of which I should be able to finish by the time I leave. The camp runs until August 15th, so should I leave it's likely I will deadbeat in ...

Wow, Linux at school! We're making progress in this world, aren't we?

I'd love to see debian or something show up at my school's network. But the IT guys are probably too dumb to know about "Wine" to even consider it.
