Regarding the poll, I like the wood, but can you add some lighting effects, like reflectivity?

I'll do some research to see if there was a Native American tribe that used rivers stratigically in any historical battles.

Re: Welcome to Cutesy Club!

Somebody who explain what "april fools" is? :?

Wikki says: "April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day, although not a holiday in its own right, is a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on ...

Re: The Great Eagle River

If you can find some way of telling a story through the map, you could be onto something... you need to find/create some kind of hook...

Thanks MrBenn. This is really helpful direction. I'll see what I can do with this. I really like the idea of coming up with a backstory. Also, thanks for all ...

Re: The Great Eagle River

Thanks for the last few comments. I'm working out a version with standard territories and I'll post them side-by-side and see if I can put it to a vote. It might be a little while though, I'm a bit swamped right now. For moderators: please don't send me to the recycle bin again. I fully intend to ...

I'll try to work out a verion that has borders instead of connecting lines and we'll see if that is better or not.

Re: The Great Eagle River

I see. The rocky terrain is meant to indicate mountains. I'm not sure what could be done to make them look higher. The "Expanse" could be renamed "Lowlands", but is it really necessary? That is, can't there simply by mountains that are called "Highlands" only because they are mountains and not ...

I'm sorry, but height difference between what? Did you mean between like one region and another or between the ground and the territory markers, or something else alltogether? Thanks for your feedback!

Re: How to make proper Army Circles for both Large and Small Map

I have a question that I don't think was answered earlier in this thread. Are the x and y cords for the XML document for the top-left, bottom-left, top-right, bottom-right, or center-center (or some other reference) point of the numbers?

I understand your point, but I'd like to here what some others think about it because the colors were carefully chosen to bring some seperation between regions. Any other opinions on this?

Re: The Great Eagle River

Where is this place and why do you not make full territs, why are you using squares?

Thanks for taking a look. To answer your questions, the location is ficticious and I thought the borders might take away from the look. http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24037 is another example of ...

Re: The Great Eagle River

I would like to know why you haven't made that forest territory, because the plains and the dry summit are way to easely defendable. There are only two borders, and those borders are high upstream. Perhaps it would even be enough to just add a passage trough the forest, it doesn't has to be a ...

Just looking at it in the browser makes me thing that the smaller version should be the larger one and an even smaller-yet version should be made.
