Yomiel wrote:I'd say those of you insisting my claim give off serious Mafia vibes. Revealing a role, especially if it's a Power one, is a stupid move, even more so this early in the game. The Mafia would probably either kill or block me, and disbelieving my claim in the case of the latter, you would then kill me the next day, giving the Mafia an escape and helping them get closer to winning. And if I'm Mafia, I could easily claim I must have been blocked or that I chose not to action. Or I could just lie about my role, like I said, an action on the same person, with no one realizing it was a lie. Even if you manage to find anything, the tracker or whatever would have to reveal themselves, and that pretty much guarantees they will be killed or blocked next.

YOU are the one who hinted that you had a power role and once someone heads down this road there is no turning back as Mafia could say, "Please dont lynch me because you really need me". You are pretty much making your own bed.

Yes this is a game of individual roles but it is also a game of common sense. If you are a Town PR it will force Mafia to second guess itself. If Mafia tries to kill or block you there is a very strong possibilty you will be protected, watched ect by other town roles. The game is not based on just one person winning the game with their individual night actions.

You need to trust that you will be taken care of. You also need to understand that winning has nothing to do with staying alive individually and everything to do discovering who is who. Mafia knows who is who in that they know who is on their team. Town does not have that luxery.

Unfortunately, I am telling the truth. I cannot claim, and doing so will not benefit the Town in any way, only the Mafia. It's not a matter of trust, just fact. You'll only realize it too late, probably.

Are you saying your role "prevents" you from claiming?

Claiming helps mafia in that it lifts the fog on who they target but also helps Town. Claiming is not a death sentence but there are many variables to consider as well.

I tend to beleive you are Town BUT if what you say is true you will be a potential target for mafia as they already know
you are a target of opportunity. Town now faces the dilema of wasting resources on a question mark, which is highly doubtful at this point.

With 16 alive, it take 9 to lynch. Deadline in about 190 hours.

Yomiel:
It seems as though the game is actually being played. Especially the past few pages. Just play and don't comment about others not playing. Everyone is playing, they just may have different styles.
Everyone else:
I will not replace him, because it seems that things are fine now and going smoothly these last few pages. However, before that quite a few of you were out of line with responses to him. Keep that in check.

It seems Chap has chosen not to replacethis player. So the choice is lynch, or see if he comes around and quits insulting everyone and tries to play the game a little differently.

One more post.

If you need information about roles or have questions about that, you can ask me (looking at you, happyfeet).

I don't think the discussions about the other game are breaking rules. You can bring outside information into this game. That doesn't mean it will help you or even be relevant, but not breaking the rules.

And, what I'm saying is that, at this point, the game looks to be back on track. So everyone play and be nice and if you're going to make a post, make it be relevant to the game. Don't post about being unhappy about people not playing the game. If you play, others will as well.

Yomiel, one last directly at you: people have been playing and attempting to play. You said people were ignoring your case on Mr. Squirrel, but that's inherently untrue. They thought it was a bad case. You aren't being ignored.

im happy to put him at L-2, but am noting that jak is trying to push for a lynch on yomiel when the primary alternative is him... lets keep that in mind

yomiel: the difference between your case on MS and other people's case on dazza is that with MS it was in the joke-votes. you cannot take anything seriously from that... i HAVE said that before. with dazza, it was after the joke-votes, so things are relevant to the GAME, which was being PLAYED.

look, we are not unreasonable. just either respect us and try to get along, or go somewhere else. honestly, in general there are almost no people on CC i do not like. you are currently number 1. but if you try to be accommodating, that will change, and change FAST.

Note it all you want to Vodean, I've been on him long before the votes have been on me, so keep that in your notes as well. Wouldn't want to have faulty notes would you?

i know you have been pushing him a while. its just that now, at a critical moment, you try to get us to lynch him, rather than looking at other cases as well.

also, unvote. i cant remember why my vote was even on jgordon

i've seen several people mentioning things like "i'm keeping notes" "i'll note this down" "i've written down your actions and i'll ... "

do you guys actually keep notes? i mean literally write down thoughts about the game?
if you do, then what exactly do you write?

sorry if this seems a bit off-topic. i'll take it elsewhere if this bothers anybody.

Yes alot of us keep notes, when I FOS someone it is for me to refer to my notes about why that stood out to me,I put the page number so I dont have to go back page by page. Thats why it humors me when someone says I have skimmed something,or infers I have missed something, which brings me to this

@ vodean you put your vote on me because I misinterpeted what Saf had said to me,about Yomiel, the whole vote unvote business. And my reaction. ;)
keep better notes vodean. :P

Usually I use it as a way to keep references on something I find interesting. May or may not be scummy, just something I want to be able to find more easily later on.

Or I do it just to joke around with someone.

thanks for the answers guys, i also got a few more explanations via PM.
i supposed that if one wants to be a good player and participate in several games at once, then taking notes is a must.

now let's get back on track.
so far it seems we're trying to force yomiel to claim his role.
what i'm unsure is when that happens. i read the rules but it doesn't say anything about L-2 forcing you to claim.
does this mean he doesn't have to claim even if we reach a L-2 situation?

i use Microsoft OneNote to keep track of votes, BWs, cases, and some scummy activity. but lately ive been busy, so no notes

fastposted making this post irrelevant

usually he claims at L-2.

yomiel, for a good example of an enjoyable n00b, like one i like to have around, see DiM.

you arent forced to claim at L-2, but if you dont, you are usually lynched summarily.

The whole point of the rule about discussing games outside of the thread is to prevent influencing what happens. That whole discussion influences both and never should have happened.

And I largely was ignored. Then, Dazza makes a case just as weak, and it's accepted as trying to move the game along. They are even admitting they are refusing to take it seriously because it was made earlier, during the time where they will dismiss all votes as jokes. This is a perfect example of what I call not playing the game.

Vodean, do not demand respect from me unless you intend to give it. Defending those people was low, as was a lot of the other stuff you've said.

Jak, is that all you have to say? You owe me an apology for your false accusation.

And I will not claim.

I think while not EVERYONE agrees with me to lynch you, they'll agree nothing I said was really all that faulty or even an accusation. More fact based than anything.

Fine, don't claim. It won't get you far and will make you look scummier in the long run IF there is a long run for you.

Sorry JG, you just had to see this part.. But seriously Yomiel? You have the gall to call us monsters when we're trying soooo hard to be tolerant toward you? Even IB has just given you a fresh start and you repay him with this? Now I see why the people on the other site drove you off. You probably annoyed the hell out of them to the point of them just wanting nothing to do with you and right now I'm beginning to understand why.

I've NEVER black listed a person here yet, but if you seriously don't just shut up and settle down you will be my first. Right now barely anyone is voting for you and you're calling them monsters? Where do you have the 'gall' to call us that, hmm?

But seriously Dazza, MS, and Saf, I get why you think I'm sketchy but if you also watch what he's been doing this entire game you probably already understand where I'm coming from. I'm all for playful call outs and questioning tactics, and while I can't speak for anyone else even though they've said similar things, I've had enough of this clown. I'll hammer in case he is bomb but other than that I look forward to getting him out if his next post after this one even as the slightest bit of BS in it.

You know, the fact that you misunderstood in the first place shows you didn't read what vodean or I even said. Then you clearly did not read my reply to you, because you now act clueless. I also think you are Mafia. Because you're claiming others are, yet are clearly not reading anyone's posts thoroughly.

Chap I cant believe I unfoed this guy because you warned him to try and get along with us,and yet he posts(IN A GAME) you need to stop playing around.

And then tells him to apologize for the false accusation. We are in a mafia game everyone gets accused of something and a very large portion of the time it is false. Really those 2 statements in a mafia game,in the same paragraph.

Back to foed you go fella.
