i agree with vodean here.
yomiel seems to be very eager to get a kill as fast as possible.

it's fricking day one in the game and we have 11 more real life days to get a lynch before the deadline comes. there's no point in rushing. let's just vote a bit, put some pressure and hope people slip up and say something incriminating.
getting somebody lynched when not even all the people got a chance to post is stupid.

This time? I am active and trying to move things along in EVERY game. It's how I play. We have to kill someone. It's as simple as that. You are being very negative, and even if you don't turn out to be Mafia, at least you won't be interfering in the game anymore.

I don't need a defense. This is exactly why it needs to be one of you. I have no respect for players that don't play the game. If you can't handle playing with me, don't sign up. Lynching me just because you dislike me, while throwing around petty insults, is just childish.

Mmk, look Yomiel, I'm going to be frank here, I don't think you are a "bad" player, I'm sure your way of thinking can win games, and probably has won several on other sites, but on this site, for some odd reason that I can't really explain, people don't like to rush lynches on board based games.

Here, we have an unwritten way of doing things, I'm not saying it's the right or wrong way, but on the forum, where we are now, we play mafia sort of like a game of chess, we draw things out, we carefully think about our words, we reflect deeply into the strategy and possibilities to gain the best outcome, and then we act. Or, some players just sort of waste time whilst the other players do that stuff. :P

So, like a game of chess, you can understand how "Hurry up and move!!!!!" while eventually necessary, is not something most players want to hear, even if it's the right thing to do. Personally I am moderate, I believe in making the most of what we have with our time, by moving things ahead quickly, and allocating the remaining time to ensure the proper choice is made. Most people don't like day one, that's understandable, no info to go on, but we need to create info too, not just insist on one action repeatedly, if we already read the post, you can be sure we are still remembering the contents tomorrow, no need to say it twice. "Lynch Vodean" today still means "Lynch Vodean" tomorrow, unless you contribute a new reason or a new action to the equation.

We do have quick games where we hurry things along too, played more by gut instincts like you seems to do sometimes, we play in live chat sometimes using the command "/join Mafia", so if you want a game where hurrying along is fine, or you want a game where we think and observe evidence, there is always an accommodating section here at CC, just lookout for post, or make a post on the RT interest thread in our discussion section. Just try to understand the sections are distinct, and repeating your opinions ad nausium to cajole other players, or making posts with no game related content such as "What are we going to do?" is considered spam like in nature.

tl;dr: Please don't rush the game

I play how I play. Many people here have given me a hard time because they do things differently. I'm not changing my playing style for anyone.

By my count, Yom is now at L-2.

Ok, I guess we can put you at L-1, and maybe some trigger-happy noob or mafia will come along and hammer you, how about that?

Well, that's how they play, if neither you nor they have the flexibility to adapt to a situation, every game can only end the same way.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time btw, I simply think an adaptive strategy is the most effective one.

But like I said, over in live chat; many of us play quickly rushed games too if that's more your speed. (I know it's that way for me, my free time is becoming so erratic lately I think I might play over there mostly.)

ah I just realized I'm digressing too, my apologies.
To get back to the game;

Rushing is a scum tell because the quicker day ends the quicker we go to night, the phase when scum strategize and kill, limiting town's effectiveness.
Not claiming isn't helping us to trust you are town either

Campin is just not fun to play games with. Your spiteful playing is really getting old. This game should have been fun, but you're messing it up by acting the way you are.

I think I'm going to replace out. I've no desire to play a game with spite-lynching.

I do that in EVERY game. Like I keep saying, it's how I play. I'm from a site where days are 24 hours long. Trying to say I'm Mafia for that reason and trying to lynch me because of it is lame. Meanwhile, those two have been acting like jerks towards me, but that's apparently fine.

Yes, I am being totally spiteful in my playing, and am out to get you. [/sarcasm]

If you can't take being voted for a rushed lynch, don't try to rush a lynch.

I'm voting the way I am for an actual reason. You're just doing it out of spite. You two harass me repeatedly in all games I'm in. Play civilly. Insults and the like are not called for.

I can sort of sympathize with that. I also get the feeling here that some people believe that every single second of the day has to be used all the way to the deadline, regardless of whether or not it is worthwhile to wait. It is frustrating, especially when stalling is done solely for the sake of stalling.

That said, this isn't whatever site you were on where days were 24 hours long. Days are much longer here, and you have to adapt your strategy and gamestyle to that. Refusing to do so is either foolish or bullheaded. You don't keep attempting to shoot 3-pointers when they remove the 3-point line, you don't continue to use a designated hitter when you're playing in an AL stadium, you don't continue to weal a goalie face mask when they require that your entire head must be covered, and you don't rush a lynch when we have more than a week to discuss it.
