Q: Hi MP! Thanks for participating and taking the time to do this interview! Care for some water before we start?
No thanks... overactive bladder.
Q: Let’s start with some general questions about each of you. What do you do for work out in the “real world”?
Finance in Healthcare Industry
Q: Do any of you have a wife, kids? If you are a parent, what was one of your favorite moments with your kids?
Married 20+ years, 2 daughters (almost 16 & 14), and a dog. Many favorite kid moments...Loved walking them to school every day while pretending to be an ogre. Now they're old and spiteful... and I love 'em just as much. I'm a lucky dad!!!
Q: What are some of your hobbies outside of CC?
Jogging on & off (on now); baking (not enough... but more when kitchen is remodeled); listening to music; watching TV
Q: Are there any other games you guys enjoy playing outside of CC?
the occasional poker game; monopoly; pinochle (family rules); backgammon; Cranium; Trivia
Q: Do you enjoy sports? If so, which ones? And do you have any favorite teams?
Only a casual follower these days. Used to be a big Cubs fan. Was once in a fantasy baseball league with Max Scherzer (before his MLB days). I may try to follow the new Atlanta United soccer team starting next year... Took girls to France/Germany Women's World Cup game last summer & had a complete blast!!!
Q: Who's going to win the Superbowl this year?
Don't care too much.... da Bears??? But now that the 2019 Superbowl (LIII) is coming to the ATL, gotta go put my name in the lottery... though not sure I can actually afford to keep a ticket for myself should I have the fortune to be selected.
Q: What do you think your free throw shooting percentage would be if you went out and took 100 shots right now? What about from behind the arc?
30%/8%
Q: What is the most obscure sport from which you can name a professional athlete, and who are they?
Competitive Eating? Takero Kobayashi, Joey Chestnut, The Black Widow (forget her real name)... all true champions of their sport
Q: What are some of your favorite movies, TV shows, books, and magazines (No, it doesn’t have to be that kind)?
Favorite Movie: The Three Amigos; Favorite TV Shows: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead; Favorite Books: Don't read a lot... Lord of the Rings; Favorite Magazines: Mad
Q: Do you enjoy cartoons? What is your favorite cartoon now? What was it growing up?
Most definitely... Simpsons now; Underdog back in the day
Q: What is your favorite Disney movie?
Since they teamed up with Studio Ghibli, I'm going to consider those Disney movies and go with "Spirited Away"
Q: Let’s move onto music; what style(s) of music do you enjoy? What are some of your favorite bands? Songs?
Here's my forte.... LOVE many styles... mostly alternative/indie rock but these days I listen almost exclusively to Japanese music despite not speaking the language. Grew up on The Beatles, Bee Gees, then into New Wave, Ska, Reggae, Punk, etc., etc. First concert was The Clash in 1982 and they're probably my all-time favorite band... Kurtis Blow & Gregory Isaacs opened for them and I just saw Mr. Blow, Kool Moe Dee, Sugar Hill Gang, & a modified version of Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five a few months ago. Big fan of Elvis Costello, Bob Marley, Psychedelic Furs... just too many to name. For English-speaking bands these days, I like Foals, Savages, & Wolf Alice (all Brits). Favorite Japanese bands are Ling Tosite Sigure, Tricot, Daoko, The Skippers, Gomess, Number Girl. Favorite song is tough... let's go with "BGM"... one of my fav J-Indie tunes from 2015 (and a great video for Dad's Day this month):
Q: What was the last concert you attended?
Tricot, October 21st - Japanese indie band on first US tour. Drove 250 miles to see them in small club in Nashville (The End). Figured if they were kind enough to travel 7,000 miles from Kyoto, I can meet them the rest of the way. UPDATE: Have since gone to the Shaky Knees music fest in ATL and saw a ton of great bands: Foals, Savages, Wolf Alice, Florence ATM and a bunch of others. Got high fives (or similar hand contact) from the leads in 3 of those 4 bands listed... and was front row for the other. Saw perhaps 30 bands in three days and almost all were very worthwhile. Great weekend!!!
Q: What is your drink of choice (alcoholic, or non-alcoholic)?
Coke Zero... drink way too many a day
Q: What is your favorite food? What about dessert?
So many... perhaps a really good lasagna. Favorite desert is easy: Ice Cream (just about any non-alcoholic flavor... except coffee).
Q: Is there something you can do better than anyone else in the clan world? (or CC)
I doubt it... but I do make a pretty mean cheesecake.
Q: Name something about yourself that nobody in the clan world probably knows about you?
I used to work as a bouillon cube maker.
Q: If you could live one day over again, which would it be?
Too deep for me... I'll stick to living in the now.
Q: Did you choose that day because it was awesome, or because you want to redo/undo something?
I've watched enough Sci Fi movies to know it's a bad idea to mess with stuff when traveling back in time... I'd simply observe if I choose to re-experience a day in the life.
Q: In your life, do you think you’ve more often been dumped, or been the one doing the dumping?
I'm the dumpee... but my current and past loves have all been and still are awesome. I've had a fortunate run.
Q: Do you have a “list’ with your significant other, and who’s at the top?
No list has actually been discussed but we both know who'd vie for the top spot, at least as somewhat of a joke.... Uma Thurman and Bjork (saw her 2nd performance ever in the US with the Sugarcubes @ The World in NYC - Just read a NY Times review of the concert to find the date of the show - July 28, 1988 - and love how the Times kept referring to her as "Ms. Gudmundsdottir"). My real list would be comprised of some other charismatic musicians:
Miyoko "345" Nakamura - bassist for Ling Tosite Sigure & Geek Sleep Sheep
Ayse Hassan - Savages bassist
Ellie Rowsell - Wolf Alice singer/guitarist
Hiromi "Hirohiro" Sagane - Tricot bassist
Q: What is the craziest place you’ve made “whoopee”?
Nothing too crazy... I'm a bit of a prude
:
Q: Give or receive?
Both are awesome but gotta give the nod to giving
Q: Would your last answer change if you were in jail?
No... both are still awesome
Q: Have you ever had sex with a cheerleader? In the uniform? A female cheerleader?
No, No, & No
Q: What were your SAT/ACT scores?
620 Math, 530 English which I was quite pleased with. Did much better on the GREs and GMATs though I forget scores.
Q: If you were to go for a doctorate or professional degree, what would you study and why?
Well, I dropped out of doctoral studies in Chemistry on St. Patty's Eve in order to celebrate the holiday and go to a Violent Femmes concert instead of taking a test in Quantum Chemistry scheduled for the 17th.... So, I'd probably go back and give Chemistry another whirl.
Q: Have you ever won a carnival game? Which one? If yes, did you get a giant teddy bear? If yes, what did you do with it?
I've never won anything major... but my ex won a giant teddy bear that she gave to me... Kept it for years at my dad's house and finally tossed it when he moved.
Time to see what you think of your fellow mates! Just react naturally, no thinking! (I combined all answers into the most popular winner(s)

Enough about that. Let’s go from you, the man – and talk about you – the player!
Q: How did you come up with your usernames, and what do they mean?
Inspired by the band, Chickasaw Mudd Puppies
Q: If you had to change your name onsite, what would your new name be?
CheezyPoof
Q: What do you feel has been your single biggest accomplishment within CC to date?
Maintaining a 5.0 rating
Q: What is one of your best CC moments?
I've had some fun wins but my best CC moment came when the longest game I've participated in (Game 4017756; lasting almost 5 years) finally came to an end... even though I lost. Very thankful round limit options have since been implemented!!! Here's the longest game I played & won: Game 3515352 lasting just a smidge over 4 years.
Q: Who is your favorite player to play with?
Easy question to cop out on as there are a ton of folks I enjoy playing with... but I'll go with one of my newer clanmates and pick grt as he's been a joy to play with since day 1.
Q: If you could remove a map off CC, which would you pick and why?
Easy... D-Day: Omaha Beach because the artillery regions attack (vs. bombard) distant targets. None of the History Channel shows I've watched include human cannonballs being shot toward the invading Allies.
Q: If you could only keep 5 maps on CC, which would you pick and why?
Just need one: Random
. My preferences are constantly changing and I'd probably list five different maps if you ask me tomorrow but today I'm going with: Chinese Checkers, France 2.1, Operation Drug War, Sydney Metro, and Waterloo
Q: If you could reign supreme over the site, what would you change?
My primary wish of Poly games has been granted and they don't disappoint. My current wishes are relatively minor but led by some type of auto-snapshot to start games in order to eliminate the need for any kind of "Fog rule."
Q: Let’s talk about Clans. How much time a week do you put into clan work? CC?
It varies greatly but not nearly enough to accomplish the things I'd like.
Q: Does being a Clan Director Volunteer feel overwhelming at times?
Volunteering is fun... it's real life that is overwhelming at times.
Q: What is the best part of being a site volunteer? Clan volunteer?
The satisfaction you get from feeling you've added to the enjoyment of fellow CC players. It's a nice little virtual family we have here.
Q: Do you feel the Clan Area of CC is living up to its potential?
The thing about potential is there is always room for more. That said, I think all the major items are in place and it's just a matter of fine tuning the best part of CC. The first item in need of fine tuning is the F400 ranking... clearly whoever is spitting out those calculations has rigged the results.
Q: If you could choose one clan to fight, which would you pick and why?
Imperial Dragoons... I love my first clan and former clanmates and would take pleasure in battling them any time.
Q: As we approach the beginning of the New Year (2016), what are your biggest goals for Clans in 2016?
For me it's all about finding time to help make Claniversity a success.
Q: Overall, how do you feel the Clan Area went in 2015?
Overall, great. The clan database is a great addition to the clan area. I think we have just the right amount of major clan tourneys. There always seems to be some relatively minor disagreements on certain aspects of the Clan Area but we are currently in a very good place.
Q: Now, for some closing questions. Well…, I apologize ahead of time. If you were a pokemon, which pokemon would you be?
Pikachu... since he's the only one I can think of
Q: What teletubby character would you pick for IcePack to be? Why?
Laa-Laa since she's pretty outgoing and helpful... and because I've already claimed Tinky Winky for myself.
Q: Can blind people see their dreams?
Yes
Q: If you could challenge another member of the Clan Director Team to a fist fight soley based on your impression of them on the site, who would you pick and why?
I'm a lover not a fighter... but I'll kick IcePack's ass in CC any day of the week.
Q: Would you rather suck on your mom’s nipple or your dad’s?
Passing on the insestual questions.
Q: Why do they call it taking a dump? Shouldn't it be leaving a dump?
A fairly valid point for such an inane question.
Q: Who is your favorite person from the history of SNL? Favorite bit?
So many greats but gonna go with the original great: John Belushi. Favorite skit up until the most recent episode was "Dick in a Box." But that last tribute to Robin Williams is my #1 at the moment:
Q: Have you ever taken a pie to the face? If yes, please explain the circumstances.
I'm pretty sure I've done so multiple times but the time I best recall was as a contestant at a live Nickelodeon show
Q: If you could choose a superpower, which would you choose if you could have one?
Some kind of super vision where I can see things perfectly both up close (microscopic) and from miles away
Q: If you were in jail, what crime do you suppose it would be for?
Unlawful but peaceful protest against injustice.
Q: Do you have any final last words, or anything to say to the Clan members at large?
Please direct anyone you think may be interested in Claniversity my way. Would love to get some new students.i
Q: Thank you for taking the time to answer and participate!
