People who knowingly make new accounts to play the system get busted, but those who genuinely return after years do have an opportunity to get their old account back, or something to that effect. I'm not judging here one way or the other.

i agree ..but honesty in cheaters is a rare commodity ..banned members were banned for a reason ...paulatpeace banned opens Gabriels hammer that account banned opens a 3rd to be wait for it ....BANNED!

I see. Okay, so he was banned six years ago. People do much worse crimes and do less time in prison. lol. To be honest, I think if someone was banned 6 years ago for being a dingbat, they are actually given a chance to appeal their ban. Some people never change and deserve to get re-banned forever, but some do, and to be honest, I think he should have the same right to the appeals process as all those before him. Some people who were given another chance are actually still on the site and behaving themselves.

They may not realise it, but when they come back, they are supposed to open a ticket pleading their case to return to CC. That allows for the clean slate and it's all in the open with the staff.

So again, this one is going to be a case for the admins to decide. Of course this is all assuming he's telling the truth and really hasn't been playing in 6 years.

.i did pick up on a lil tid bit of info here id like to share ..last few weeks ive been sending new recruits here not one i could wall king archilles looked into it as well yet this new recruit i was able too ,,no delay what so ever ..i think its his old account that the member has that enabled me to wall him ect ...is this coincidence or a real easy way to discover multi accounts ...ka said him self he found it odd some not all new recruits could be reached ..

And that very well could end up being the result of their decision to move the player's premium over and unban the old account. I guess they handle these things on a case by case basis. While I was a community/chat mod, I am not well versed in this area of the site, so won't pretend to know the entire ins and outs. Only the jist.

As for this, it seems more likely to be a glitch in the software. This site is very old and ran on one of those open source forum softwares. Over time, there will have been so many edits by various different techies. It is very possible that somehow there are two different groupings for new recruits... One that allows wall messages and one that doesn't. I very much doubt that it has anything to do with them being multies. It's probably more likely to do with whether they signed up with facebook or email, or something equally annoying.

i was told just this past week new recruits walls take time to activate ...this was implemented a lil bit ago to prevent farming new recruits ... takes 24 to 36 hours it seems ...this members wall was active from get go..again dont take my word read for yourself

It can't be helped when some past individuals take advantage of new players coming in hence the term 'farming' has been made because of individuals who just can control themselves to take advantage of new recruits for easy points and their usual excuse is that they were only 'teaching' them.

Yes, but what you're suggesting about the multi-detection isn't possible unless someone went to the trouble of writing some elaborate code to do that... . I am a bit of a techie myself and I know forum software. It is almost definitely a permissions issue. The software wouldn't react differently just because someone is a multi. But, depending on how this particular one is set up, it can be possible with some softwares for Facebook sign ups to have slightly different permissions than Email sign ups because someone made a misclick when setting up the group at the time. It's something that would take a little time to go through and find what's causing it. While it's not a big problem, it's one of those annoying fidgety things that can sometimes take ages to get to the bottom of and you need the time on your hands to find it.

I'm only guessing about the FB vs Email as a likely example. It could be one of a number of things I'm sure.

Every new recruit starts with their wall turned off by default, but it's a simple matter to go into settings and turn it on.

Yes, you might say "how would he know to turn it on?" but I think plenty of people go into settings as a matter of course when they join a new game, just to see what the settings are and what they do.

In any case, this debate contributes nothing. A report has been made. Let's wait to see what the C&A people have to say about it.
