Right now we are looking to fill the position of User Interface Guru to add lots of little improvements around the site to make the player experience better and help LackAttack get some core projects through faster by working with him on the front end.
This is a paid part-time/project based position with highly flexible scheduling possibilities.
Job Expectations:
- Work with non-core code to design and implement creative changes to layout and functionality on the game pages, menus and forums.
- Work closely with a community based design team to prototype and code possible new additions and features
- Work independently and efficiently to produce working code quickly and on time.
Requirements:
- Super-Duper-Guru-level knowledge of CSS, HTML, javascript.
- Strong background or knowledge of User Interface design - creativity is a must.
- Knowledge of AJAX, PHP and the phpBB forum software is a bonus.
- Ability to work in a team and re-work designs to get the best results.
How to apply:
- Send a resume of relevant experience and examples of any previous work to Twill {at} ConquerClub.com
- Qualified applicants will then be asked to create functioning mock-ups of solutions to a small number of design challenges we face. These will be short challenges and applicants will be paid a small set fee for completing them (we know your time is valuable, even for an interview)
- The mock-ups will be peer-reviewed and changes requested and expected.
- The person with the most elegant solutions and code will be offered the job.
Pay:
The pay is obviously dependent on experience but lets say it definitely will neither be minimum wage nor will it make you disgustingly wealthy.
We love working for the community and would like to hire out of the community. You, the members of the Club, know this site better than anyone else, so who better to make the experience better for everyone.
ConquerClub is all about equal opportunity world domination - we want the best, regardless of who you are, where you come from or how old you are.
We are also looking for someone/a group of people to start working on some tutorial videos (screencasts). If you have experience using screencast software like Camtasia Studio, Wink, etc. drop me a line at the same email with examples of your work. This is not (yet) a paid position. We are still exploring the possibilities out there.
Have a Conquerific Day
