So, that means you don't have the cave painting then ? Huh, weird that. You're saying you made a completely unsubstantiated point that you can't defend in any way whatsoever and are now therefore trying to shift the discussion to something else.

How odd, I've never seen a creationist do that before.

Anyway, fine, let's move to the new subject.
Explain to me how evolution contradicts the second law of thermodynamics please.

Have you ever seen a dodo bird? Oh, you saw a painting of one by some person who lived several hundred years ago. The same with dinosaurs. They have been documented by humans.
http://www.icr.org/article/6092/368/

Concerning the Second Law of Thermodynamics and evolution; it's very simple Einstein. Evolution could not have occurred because spontaneous generation never occurred. Even if some single cell organism formed by spontaneous generation (according to your fairy tale), it would have had a tendencey to de-evolute and certainly not evolve into something like a worm which is infinitely more complicated than a Boeing 747. But then again, you couldn't be Einstein because he saw an order in the universe that couldn't have come about by some Big Bang.

I agree with this last statement. That things tend to break down and decay is just the natural order of things. Our universe is proof of that. For example we see stars die all the time but not once have anyone ever observed a star being born. We don't really know what is happening inside the interstellar clouds to say that star's are being born. But we definitely see them die. Every single day.

But watch out now, here comes evolution to save the day. In a universe that is constantly decaying and dying out, here is the one thing that is on the constant improvement kick??? And it all began...

Haha, I know, right? There's no way string cheese can come from nothing! Artificial decay on the horizon of the event at which all time was nonexistent! Therefore happenstance when the leaves formed into rocks??? Impossible! Then somehow a rib was taken from someone and humans? Yes, because that makes sense because I read about it, and my opinion confirms it.

Unless this universe and everything in it is but a creation of a God that exist outside of the created Universe. Now do you see why people believe in God? There is simply no other way to logically or scientifically explain how it is that we are.

The Bible has been proven to be true through archaeology and prophecies literally fulfilled hundreds of years in advance. Check out "Pascal's Wager."

"We know God only through Jesus Christ. Without this Mediator, is taken away all communication with God; through Jesus Christ we know God. All those who have pretended to know God, and prove Him without Jesus Christ have only impotent proofs.

"But, to prove Jesus Christ we have the prophecies which are good and valid proofs. And those prophecies, being fulfilled, and truly proved by the event, indicate the certainty of these truths, and therefore the truth of the divinity of Jesus Christ. In Him, and by Him, then, we know God. Otherwise, and without Scripture, without original sin, without a necessary Mediator, we can not absolutely prove God, nor teach good doctrine and sound morals." Blaise Pascal

Because of the wealth of evidence presented in History, Archeology and Bible Prophecy. If these are true then so is the revealed Knowledge in the word of God. So if the Bible states that God created the heavens and the earth then I have to believe it even if there is no proof for that statement as yet. But there will be.

Once upon a time, men did not know that there were such things as germs and that germs could make you sick and even kill you. Revealed knowledge through the word of God made those who followed God's instructions healthier human beings. Even though there was no evidence or reason or logic to that. The Bible stated, anyone who touches a corpse shall be unclean. Today we know that Dead things can make one sick and even kill you so if we ever chance upon a dead animal we instinctively avoid it. Because we know better, Now!

I don't claim to know better or to even know anything at all but if it is revealed knowledge in the pages of the Bible then it is good enough for me to accept it and to believe it. The Bible just is never wrong about anything.

Are you sure this is Pascal's wager? It's certainly not what is usually quoted as such,in fact it's not even a wager.

I didn't actually quote his wager but he wrote many other things concerning the Bible and eternity.

Aren't there some passages in Leviticus that talk about menstruation, and how everything a woman touches while she is menstruating is unclean? And something similar when a man ejaculates, he must thoroughly clean his entire body?

Today we know both these two be conclusively true and must be adhered to for medical reasons.

According to my research in Ancient Chinese Texts, menstruating women were the most vile yet powerful of magic. When Cao Cao's army invaded Tsing Tao's castle, Tsing Tao hoisted onto the battlements a menstruating woman. He tore off her clothes, so the enemy could see the blood flowing down her leg. They recoiled in fear and were routed--thanks to the magic of the menstruating woman.

Let it be known as truth, for this was written a long time ago, and there is simply no other way to logically or scientifically explain how this happened.

Looks like things haven't changed much in these kind of arguments. A whole lot of insults and not many answered questions. I'm done. Hope you have a great life and let go of whatever it is that causes the bitterness in you.

He was a genius, mathematician and physicist known for his understanding of probability theory. He invented the world's first working computer, vacuum cleaner and public transportation system. Here is a portion of his wager.

So God offers supposed salvation and threatens us with death in exchange for our life-long (and eternal) worship services.

How could the all-loving God make such an involuntary exchange?
Gee, that sounds like an offer the Mafia would make. "Hey, kid. I'll let you live a long time, and I won't shoot you, but you have to give me some money each week for the rest of your life."

The Bible has been proven to be true through archaeology and prophecies literally fulfilled hundreds in advance.

And those prophecies, being fulfilled, and truly proved by the event, indicate the certainty of theses truths, and therefore the truth of the divinity of Jesus Christ. In Him, and by Him, then, we know God. Otherwise, and without Scripture, without original sin, without a necessary Mediator, we can not absolutely prove God, nor teach good doctrine and sound morals." Blaise Pascal

Are you sure this is Pascal's wager? It's certainly not what is usually quoted as such,in fact it's not even a wager.

Why do you recommend we should check it out?

He was a genius, mathematician and physicist known for his understanding of probability theory. He invented the world's first working computer, vacuum cleaner and public transportation system. Here is a portion of his wager.

"The ag
nostic says he will neither put in at that port (believe) nor turn away from it (disbelieve) but stay anchored a reasonable distance away until the weather clears and he can see better whether this is the true port or a fake (for there are a lot of fakes around). Why is this attitude unreasonable, even impossible? Because we are moving. The ship of life is moving along the waters of time, and there comes a point of no return, when our fuel runs out, when it is too late. The Wager works because of the fact of death." http://www.peterkreeft.com/topics/pascals-wager.htm

How can we be sure we have chosen the correct god(s) to believe in out of the thousands of possibilities?Does Pascal address this problem in his work on probability theory?

So you still don't have the picture, huh ?
Quick post another article, or maybe some bible quotes. That'll probably distract us from seeing you're full of shit.

Have you actually ever read the 2nd law of thermodynamics?

The second law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of an isolated system never decreases, because isolated systems spontaneously evolve towards thermodynamic equilibrium—the state of maximum entropy

Ok, so a worm is an isolated system and therefore its entropy must decrease? Now, I'm no expert, but I think a worm interacts with the outside world in some manner and therefore isn't an isolated system.

So once again what is the isolated system who's entropy evolution causes to inexplicably increase?

Viceroy63 wrote:I agree with this last statement. That things tend to break down and decay is just the natural order of things. Our universe is proof of that. For example we see stars die all the time but not once have anyone ever observed a star being born. We don't really know what is happening inside the interstellar clouds to say that star's are being born. But we definitely see them die. Every single day.

Wait, you're seeing supernovae EVERY DAY ? You really should alert NASA about this. I think they're averaging like one every couple months. Whatever telescopes you're using is clearly decades ahead of what astrophysicists are currently employing.

Oh, and ... are you saying you don't believe new stars are being formed? Shit, this one's on the same scale as not believing dinosaurs existed.

But watch out now, here comes evolution to save the day. In a universe that is constantly decaying and dying out, here is the one thing that is on the constant improvement kick??? And it all began...
... with Mud?

Huh, now that you mention it, I'm still kind of irked that this god of yours made a universe that is "constantly decaying and dying out". Do you think we could get a refund and buy a proper universe from some god who can actually be bothered to end suffering and such?

So God offers supposed salvation and threatens us with death in exchange for our life-long (and eternal) worship services.

How could the all-loving God make such an involuntary exchange?
Gee, that sounds like an offer the Mafia would make. "Hey, kid. I'll let you live a long time, and I won't shoot you, but you have to give me some money each week for the rest of your life."[/quote]

The Bible makes it clear that our sins alienate us from God and paints a picture of a wicked and guilty criminal before a good judge. I would never try to force anyone to become a Christian and those in the past who did were going against the direct teachings of Jesus Christ. I can only show someone such as yourself what is clearly taught in the Bible which I believe has been proven to be true beyond all reasonable doubt. As I said in an earlier post, there are many former atheists when confronted death realized how the wager they were betting on offered nothing but judgment.

Unless this universe and everything in it is but a creation of a God that exist outside of the created Universe. Now do you see why people believe in God? There is simply no other way to logically or scientifically explain how it is that we are.

This is essentially the one and only argument the creationist (and the UFO enthusiast and the 9/11 truther) has, they are just good at disguising it, but here you stated it plainly.

The argument is: "I don't know how this occurred and I don't know what will happen next. The lack of knowledge frightens me, therefore I will take a theory, ANY theory that will explain these things".
This way, to all the questions I answer with "I don't know" you can say "God did it" and feel reassured at your knowledge of the most intricate working of the universe.
Fear of the unknown. Fear of death. These are the main reasons people cling to bronze age myths regarding the origin of the universe. This is also the reason why scientific expansion is killing religion. The fewer "I don't knows" there are the less likely people are to take the blue pill and stick with the myths.

I can confirm this truth BBS references. I use to do the exact same thing when dealing with troublesome posters as CM.
