I would be certainly impressed if you could win Poker now. Make it happen and we can void the remade game lol.
I am making it happen...Let it be written, let it be done.

I'd gladly utilize the results of the Poker game, as positive as it looks for us. :P However, this is the course of action that we have agreed upon.

Regardless on who agreed on what, I still don't understand how a tourney game gets voided before it is even finished. The only reason this whole conversation got started was because GG was claiming a victory in Poker Room...That, however, was a bit premature, go take a look...

I also love the fact that DJ made a decision, GG loses 4 points, then that was voided, then GG loses 1 point, then that was voided, now a "replay" game replaces a current game, why not void that too?

Yeah, someone informed me oif a rule breach and I naively accepted it was ... then later found it wasn't ;)

So is the poker game completely void or not? As kenny suggests if they get poker they win, if not they get another shot?

Just to be clear so there's not more controvosy.

The Poiker game is clearly void, AOD cant play have two shots at winning one game!

The game has been started again by mutual agreement.

The replay isn't a case of "in case AOD dont win" - the replay is taking place because the first game is void.

This is still lame, because the people in the game never got a vote, only the WM's of the clans and TO voted on a game that none of them were in. AND this whole fiasco was all initiated when GG began claiming a victory in this Poker Room game...SO LAME! I sat here and made repeated posts on my perspective of violations committed because the conversation called for it, but I NEVER was asked if a replay was needed, because I would have said NO...DJ, don't ever ask me to play in any more of your tourneys. I loved your speed tourneys, but this is just a waste of my time!

As for the violations themselves, well where in the rules does it say a game can be voided and replaced? Is this falling under the agreement of the two teams to self-rule?

And I saw a post by DJ saying he naively accepted rule-breaking as truth, but later found out it wasn't. Well, why did you double post then? First saying 4 FOW violations, then saying 1 FOW violation? The latter being a "naive" answer also? I find that hard to believe.

I know my teammate AgentSmith agrees with me on the replay voiding Poker Room to be a really bad decision on the TO's part...I am actually about willing to concede this and get the bad taste out of my mouth...

I never suggested that if we win poker room, we win! I know the game is voided, but I will be here to showcase it, just to show how lame this tourney was and is set-up!

To be fair, I do see how the games originally in question FOW were not violations per the CLA FOW definition, but that definition has not been implemented. And I do believe that Papaj didn't deadbeat intentionally, because I looked up his games, and he only had 2 active and got booted from them both, which were in different tournaments. But my spite for this entire situation still lies in the fact that the ruling "no violation" occurred, and yet we have a replay game that nobody in that game ever voted for, voiding an "actual tournament" game...That makes absolutely no sense!

Either way, good tourney GG, thanks for hosting DJ.

Yeah, still reminiscent of a noob move on your part DJ, what the hell is this, kindergarten? How would you even approve a "do-over"?

I would never agree to that, never have I played Risk or Axis and Allies and asked for a do-over...OH, I didn't like those dice you threw, can we have a do-over??? Are you all <5 years old?

Okay, I'm getting a little irritated. I would have gladly kept the verdict of Poker War, but JP felt that the game was unfairly biased since Papaj deadbeated. As a result, in order to calm the storm, DJ and I concurred that a remake would be a satisfactory verdict. Anyway, it'll be tough luck for you guys when you lose both of them. :P

edit: Kenny, you play Axis and Allies? Have your own? How large is your collection? I've amassed a nicely sized English army, but I can't acquire a decent German force for relatively cheaply... Always get these rubbish pieces who were "Axis" but not hardened German forces.

Yeah, definately not in Canada unless it was two raccoons fighting over a pile or trash. Might have to call the Mounties in to clear that skirmish...

Are you talking the "new" A&A? miniatures? There are some nice pieces available here in Chicago, but I mainly play Xeno World at War with generic pieces. Miniatures I have had a nice collection in Blood Bowl and WarHammer, but nothing anymore...I can't find any decent places to play, so I gave up all my miniatures before I went to Hawaii.

I think kenny's irritation comes from jp thinking the poker game was all but yours, but in fact it wasn't. Since it's a fow game he can't see the board, it just looks like you guys have it in the bag based on territory count.

The biggest issue I have comes from the fact that in these clan tournies nobody can actually wait for the games to finish before deciding anything. I understand not wanting to hold up the whole tourney for everyone else, but I would think getting it right was more important.

We were trying to vote on whether we even wanted to continue in the tourney or just concede, but it looks moot at this point anyway. I guess we will just have to take solace in the fact that kenny will win that poker game and we will know who ACTUALLY won this war. :)

With the GG slow playing and the indecisive TO, I didn't have much of a choice. If we waited on poker to finish and then find GG won because of the deadbeat, then we'd probably be screwed for time. Fact is the better decision would have been to void Poker and use the tie-breaker. But that was not chosen so we will have to live with the outcome. GG can think they won all they want, but the better team doesn't always win. If Poker finishes and the replay game takes forever, maybe DJ will have to change his mind. ;)

You didn't have a choice? How hard is it to talk with your members? Indeed, the better team doesn't always win and you're succeeding very well in making us look like we're cheating. But you're using everything against us to get yourself the win while we hardly (if at all) got an advantage out of our "mistakes".
In all the FoW games we didn't get any advantage and you were saying we had an advantage from Papaj deadbeating? This game would have been finished if he didn't deadbeat, we lost 9 troops and gained 1 because he did.
While we didn't have to, we agreed to set up a tiebreaker even though it was looking like we were winning Poker Club and when we did and luck turns in that game you immediately start saying you didn't want to set up a tie-breaker, but you had to.
Well by the looks of it you're trying desperately to win, but sometimes the better team does win.
