That's what I was thinking. If he spills his mason partner it could be just as bad though.
If his partner is inactive then I don't think there is any sacrifice on part of the town. The mafia would just go after him or save him till later.

Lol. Do you really think I would do something that scummy if I was mafia?
If you were mafia, I think you would have responded they way you just did.
Why even take the risk by saying something like that?
What risk? of revealing that you could mafia?

This is a good point, but I'm not really willing to just trust jnd's word on this. I'm not sure, though.
And, Colaalone has a point - do you guys think a n00b like jnd would know enough to claim mason if he weren't?

Alright, you all make sense. We'll have to wait now for his partner. (if he so chooses to show his face)

OMFG NIGHT TALK!! Their only really useful tactic is being able to clear their partners. If the mafia target the masons, GOOD! Thats saves two nightkills that could have hit our cop/doc.
Masons can be extremely useful in the end game, as pancake, Incandenza and I proved in the Assassin game. Unfortunately, if one of them has already claimed, then that usefulness is already mostly defeated.
So, I think I'm with you on this; at this point, losing two masons is a lot less of a blow to the town than losing, say, our doc. I think we should wait for confirmation.

i do think its fairly interesting that jnd would claim a mason, im not sure where he would have heard of the role as there have been other things he hasnt been aware of in the past. At the same time his value as a mason and confirmation of the claim should be supported by the other mason otherwise im just not sure what good it does us or jnd.

youve put my partner in a bad position. if he claims me, he risks being killed by mafia. if he doesnt however, youll kill his partner.

I think he's n00b, but not stupid. The role page was posted earlier in the thread. How do we know he and his buddies didn't check it out and decide to claim mason in a pinch? And no one ever even considered a half-truth. *cough* mafia mason *cough*

Jnd, you've put you in a bad position. If we don't lynch you today, mafia kill you tonight. Your claim saved you today, but nighttime is cruel.

1) Today's lynch isn't over (JND seems to be town)
2) I'm not setting you up for anything, pressuring people to flush out scum is a main point of the game
3) I haven't accussed you of anything concrete, yet you FOS me... no need to be defensive
