It's official, Cornell wins the West vs. Midwest tourney with 118.5 points, beating second-place Iowa by eight. All brackets and team scoring have been posted for the tourney.

Also standings have been updated to include scoring for the first tournament.

sorry all...Memorial Day weekend and the day after have been crazy...should get updates and new games out tonight.

On another note: After further thought, I think we'll skip the regional phase of this tournament.
That leaves us with a few more regular season matches then a full (more realistic) bracket for the Nationals, which will decide our CC tourney champion.

Each national bracket would be 32 wrestlers (meaning the bottom half...24 wrestlers) would meet in a play-in match to get in, while the top half (20 wrestlers) would gain an automatic qualifier for nationals.

Of course, if there is an uproar about this change, I'll consider sticking with the Regional format, but it just seems like an unnecessary step.

Updated the Great Lakes vs. West tourney, which is in its final phases...working on updating current duals and the Great Lakes vs. Midwest tourney throughout the day.

Illinois holds a slim 2.5-point edge over Northwestern late in the Great Lakes/West tourney, with Indiana also able to challenge for the title.

Current set of duals is updated (3 in the West)...Oregon State sneaks past Fullerton State 20-15 to stay undefeated in the dual format with a 5-0 record. Go Beavers!!!

All right everyone I'm back from vacation and have updated standings through West duals #7, also fixed a few minor problems in the Week 8 set of duals and will be sending new matches for the Great Lakes vs. West tourney in a moment.

Scorecards for the current set of duals are now up...the standings is updated with those duals that have gone final...of course, we still have two tournaments to go final...once they do that could shake up the standings quite a bit.

The Great Lakes vs. West tourney is near a finish with only a couple 285-pound bouts left...Northwest has clinched the title for that tourney, squeezing past Illinois by a few points. Other spots could still juggle around, but standings will be updated once the tourney goes final.

We are moving over the next week, but I'll try to send out new games as best I can over the next few days.

Rankings are updated in the initial post for this thread...these include everything through the first five duals and the first two tournaments.

A final set of rankings will be posted at the end of the regular season to include the next dual sets of duals along with the final Great Lakes vs. Midwest tourney.

Rankings will be used to seed the brackets for the upcoming NCAA nationals.
