It's hard to pick against the Steelers at home, but they just haven't looked like themselves on offense lately. I'm likely to flip my Vikings pick before Sunday, simply because I can't see that group of players going 0-5.

I find your lack of faith, in Denver, disturbing.

SD has the better QB, the better RB's, and probably the better WR1.

Just realized I don't have to flip my Vikes over the Cards pick.

Bills: Eagles' defense has been pathetic and the Giants nailed 29 points on 'em and only reached the Red Zone once the entire game. Buffalo should get some big plays too.

Saints: Continue doing what they do best, Brees down the field and score points.

Texans: Houston has more defense than Oakland's seen so far and home field.

Colts: also have some defense and will finally win a game.

Bengals: The Dalton/Benson combo get it done.

Vikings: Best 0-4 team in the league will finally hold a lead in the 4th Quarter.

Giants: In recent years don't play their best on the west coast, but will do enough to win.

Titans: This should be a tight one as the Steelers look to turn things around.

Niners: Special teams and home field allow them to squeeze past the Bucs.

Pats: The Brady bunch at home extend the Jets losing streak.

Packers: Rodger's vertical passing assault continues and the inconsistent Dirty Birds will have a hard time keeping pace if their rushing game doesn't show up this week to eat up some clock.

Lions: Detroit is finally a favorite against the Bears and I suspect Chicago has seen enough in recent games to keep this game close. Detroit escaped Dallas with a win last week and still dropped a spot in the NFL Power Poll.

VIKINGS 28
Cards 3
Halftime
Adrian Peterson has 3 TDs

Colts lead KC 24-14 at the half.

I can remember Campbell having some good games against the Cowboys
back when he was with the Skins and I was thinking "Oh shit, Washington
has a quarterback!." Now he looks like a real good fit for the Raiders.

RIP Al Davis.

10 bucks says Al Davis pops up in 100 years, stronger in his command of the dark forces that have kept him alive since time immemorial.
On a side note, for a bunch of bad teams there was some fun football in those 1 o'clock games.

Definitely some entertaining football played today and I don't even mind any of my picks coming up short. G-Men fail miserably at home, even though the Seahawks gave them an abundance of opportunities to take this one and the Colts proved once again that no lead is safe in this league. A fine win for the Raiders at Houston too. I really thought the Texans' had 'em on the final play of the game.

and

it's Tebow Time in Denver.

Dude, he didn't lose. I'm putting this loss squarely on Orton. What Tebow did was very promising, especially that last play where he scrambled like crazy. I'm very excited to watch the rest of the season and see how he progresses. He's still making bad decisions, but Orton made them with a lot more experience.

We lost, we're 1-4, but I'm happy.

I think our turn around won't be as slow as the Lions' was.

If Tebow is at least more productive than Orton and we have a good draft/free agency picking up run defense, I think we should be the favorites to win the AFC West next season.

Gotta give him credit for extending the play at the end, but ya gotta complete the pass. :P Still, promising effort from the ex-Gator. Looking forward to his career.

Also, good to see the Steelers still have some kick in them. I think Tomlin gave'em a good talking to this week.

I still worry about that windup, he's gotta do something about that throwing motion.

And accuracy, gotta get more passes completed, especially with good WR's like Lloyd and Decker.

The Lions' turnaround from the 0-16 season has been surprisingly quick --three seasons--
as they go 5-0 for the first time in 50 years.

I do believe the Chargers were fortunate no penalty flags appeared
on the final play in Denver. Looking at the replay there was a lot of
shoving in the end zone, just prior to and possibly even while the
ball was in the air.

Lots of close games this week... the NFL is pretty tight and ripe
for some shockers in the weeks to come.

Week 5
PHI @ BUF
NO @ CAR
OAK @ HOU
KC @ IND
CIN @ JAX
ARI @ MIN
NYG @ SEA
TEN @ PIT
TB @ SF
SD @ DEN
NYJ @ NE
GB @ ATL
CHI @ DET

9 - 4 . . . 48 - 29

This week the 4-1 Niners visit the 5-0 Lions. About the only difference between these teams is that SanFran lost an OT game to Dallas and Detroit escaped Jerry World with a win. Also the Eagles/Redskins, Vikings/Bears, Bills/Giants and Panthers/Falcons.

Week 5 results
PHI @ BUF
NO @ CAR
OAK @ HOU Knew I should flipped it. If someone dies, that team wins (terrible though it might sound)
KC @ IND I know what you're thinking: "Did they lose six games or only five?" At this time you have to ask them just one question: do they feel Luck-y?
CIN @ JAX
ARI @ MIN COunt on the Cards to be completely inept against a completely inept team
NYG @ SEA Wat
TEN @ PIT I can't feel too bad about this one, if only because the Steelers won (and big).
TB @ SF Thought this would at least be close
SD @ DEN
NYJ @ NE
GB @ ATL
CHI @ DET

7-6 (51-26) I was due for a down week, I guess.
