I aware of this. the regions have been included in the Shu territory since tehy did take control of the area.

nan hai is correct: i checked the chinese characters from the map that king prime supplied. also from that map, the river (which is the pearl river) borders the west side of nan hai, not the north side.
nan hai is chinese pinyin (nan = south, hai = sea). i think this is one of the few cases where pinyin is exactly the same as wade-giles. han hai looks like a misprint.
type nan hai into the dictionary below and u'll see that it is translated into the characters on kingprime's map.
seems there still a bit of discusion here. Sam ill leave you in charge of this thread for a couple of days. once you think you have hte full list of name changes worted out let me know via PM
hmm i have 2 things to say:
1) maybe anather texture at the sea and the unplayable land i don't think this fits well
2) some red and green continents colours are to much like eachother i suggest lighten/darker some of them
