If one doesn't think a smooth talking politically motivated elitist Harvard lawyer is being honest, one is a bigot?Symmetry wrote:Starts with "b", ends with "igotry",Phatscotty wrote:Not sure why only 41% think he is Christian either. Must be a reason....Symmetry wrote:Obama is a Christian, end of.

and there's nothing in between, a fact the word shares common ground with the left and right ears of people who argue that he isn't Christian.
About his faith? Which Scotty am I talking to? The one who criticises him for being a member of Jeremiah Wright's church, or the one that thinks he's a Muslim? You can't have it both ways. You'd have to believe that he was a Christian and a Muslim, and that would be silly, no?Phatscotty wrote:If one doesn't think a smooth talking politically motivated elitist Harvard lawyer is being honest, one is a bigot?Symmetry wrote:Starts with "b", ends with "igotry",Phatscotty wrote:Not sure why only 41% think he is Christian either. Obama isn't an arab. He's of white american/Kenyan descent. He has an Arabic middle name inherited from his atheist(former muslim) Kenyan father.Phatscotty wrote:
Yeah, because Arabs are not predominantly Muslims.
Does the fact that almost all Arabs are Muslim factor in here? Oh, right, that would be common sense, which is a nono. Forgot we have to pretend like we don't know anything.

Any intelligent person would think it would end there, but the people espousing this have proven time and again that they aren't intelligent, They do not think for themselves, they rely on fox news to do all their thinking for them.Baron Von PWN wrote:Obama isn't an arab. I can get how someone could hear the name "Barrack Hussein Obama" and think
"huh maybe he's a Muslim. " They might then ask him if he is. I imagine it might go like this.
Person:" Hey Obama are you a Muslim?"
Obama "nope,I'm a Christian "
Person: "oh, which Church do you go to?"
Obama: " I went to this church for over 20 years"
Person: "cool, cya later Obama!"
Obama: "later"
That's where any reasonable person would end it. Any more is just crazy gibberish.

And how does "reasonable" fit into the reality that Obama distanced himself from the Church that he went to for "over" 20 years????? Can he really still use that as "proof"?Baron Von PWN wrote:Obama isn't an arab. He's of white american/Kenyan descent. you are right (round and round we go!). I have not seen a single person say Obama is an Arab.Trinity United Church of Christ, Chicago is the church most frequently cited by press accounts, and by Cone as the best example of a church formally founded on the vision of Black liberation theology.[17] The 2008 Jeremiah Wright controversy, over differing interpretations of some of his sermons and statements, caused then-Senator Barack Obama to distance himself from his former pastor.[18][19]
Do you even try to be honest anymore? I have never said or thought Obama was a Muslim...Symmetry wrote:About his faith? Which Scotty am I talking to? As I've said many times. Anything I said about the Muslim debate was in the context of "you have to admit how some people will associate Obama with Muslims, based on his name" and "that does not make people who associate him with Muslims stupid or crazy". I was just saying how it is understandable, and other people should realize that.Baron Von PWN wrote:Scotty what is your point in this thread?
You keep saying things like "he was born Muslim" or 'his middle name is Hussein which is an arab name and 95% of arabs are Muslim" but then when asked if you think he is Muslim it's "Woah woah woah! for the 100th time he's a type of Christian I don't like!"
What's your point? Why do you keep asking these leading questions about his name and how it sounds Muslim?
ok. However a few years into his presidency I would think everyone would know by now. I mean its been talked about to death and a simple google search will provide the answer.Phatscotty wrote:As I've said many times. We only had to get as deep as you pointed out because people cannot admit something so simple.

That's all I been saying, just not as defensively as you put it.Baron Von PWN wrote:ok. However a few years into his presidency I would think everyone would know by now. Would you not agree that anyone still insisting he's a Muslim are probably more than just mistaken due to his name?
All you've been saying is that those insisting he's muslim are more than simply mistaken?Phatscotty wrote:That's all I been saying, just not as defensively as you put it.Baron Von PWN wrote:ok. Out of all the votes on this poll, only 3 votes are right. I know I'm one!notyou2 wrote:Some people can't admit they are wrong.

Omg Symm LOL. You have been trolling me non-stop for hours! you have initiated a response to every post I have made tonight. You are incorrect about your claim, but go ahead and guess another one...Symmetry wrote:Scotty, you've geared well up into troll mode approaching an election that you claim to have no partisan issue in. If that's true, then that's a good question. I have no idea, but my public choice instincts tell me, "yes." Maximize votes! Maximize votes! Become more "photogenic!"Phatscotty wrote: Wow, Obama did not become a Christianit until he was almost 30????? I wasn't aware of that either. I however am CERTAIN that it had nothing to do with his desire to be a politician.....
Oh please. You cannot be THAT ignorant.Phatscotty wrote:So, this is the guy who helped Obama find Jesus? "Good enough for me!"
