I know man. I've done the craigslist thing lots of times as well (mostly for musical instruments but a few times for furniture too) but it just seems to me like there are more and more douchebags these days and less and less "honest folk". The balance has slowly but surely been tipping over the years. I had a guy who was supposed to come over and try out a synth the other night. He told me last minute he couldn't come because he had to go to his grandparents' house because they weren't feeling well. What a fucking liar!KoolBak wrote:Well Darvlay.....I have sold LOTS of stuff on craigslist and thousands of items on ebay; I find craigslist best for typically larger ticket / size items that dont fly on ebay. You expect the trash to roll in (Can you tell me what bus to take to get to your House? FOOK NO!!.....so many hosers). BUT, if you have a fair price and are honest (like I believe the cinder block dude was...lol), your gee-tar should go. Just filter the douchebags out on the phone as best you can.
I think ebay would be the way to go here however.....if you would like, I would be happy to help you - pm me and we can discuss it....good luck!
Oh...I have also found it helpful to have a weapon or two laying about when the prospective buyer comes ambling into my home....not to mention my doberman.....just in case
