I think that separating white poor people and minority poor people via the epithet "white trash" is wrong, unless I'm missing out on "black trash" and, I don't know, "Asian trash," or something. Even if we have "Armenian trash," making fun of people for being poor isn't too cool. But it'd be nice if at least it was equal-opportunity. Also, the kinds of white people that are "white trash" aren't the same kind of white people that run America, so it's not like we're making fun of them for failing, just for being born in the same shit they live in.

This part of why I say I am not a true liberal. I agree fully.

But.. its also more. Some people pay the full costs "along the way" and some don't. However, per any individual, many people don't realize just how much harm they are causing others. This is the biggest reason corporations can sometimes be portrayed as "evil", even if all the individuals (or 99.99% anyway) are decent people. Corporations are designed to insulate those at the top, investors, from the impact of nasty decisions. That includes sometimes financial consequences, but also many other externalities.

A true conservative doesn't really want others paying their bills. At least, I don't believe they do.
