This is the 2nd time it has happened to groups of my friends (first time was a different incident) and I just think that it's absolutely ridiculous that people are looking to rat others out, especially when the evidence they provide does NOT present a good argument

Okay, here's the good argument you requested:

It's not a multi, as for lack of team chatting, couldnt that just be because the other had already proposed an idea?

That's what is called a "secret alliance", and it is against the rules

I also just noticed that you mentioned that I never make comments in the chat, that is mostly true, up until recently I never bothered to scroll down to the chat, I never read it, I never posted, it was a non issue

It is an issue, it's called secret diplomacy. If in any way you are communicating or relaying your ideas to another person via something that isn't publically viewable, then it is secret by definition.

If friends can't hop on conquer club to take their turn in a game when they're hanging out, that's a serious problem I think

The problem is not people hanging out together and playing, it's when there are public games that 3-5 freinds join in and the rest are a mix of players who stumble across the game and join. That's when it becomes subject to abuse. Would you rather lose to a stranger, or to a friend? Where would you prefer your points to go? The prudent thing to do is to announce in this forum that you and several friends are joining the site and sometimes playing from the same computer, then you're covering your own behinds.

Again, why is this any of your business?

jarble, this isn't a witch hunt, it's just part of the routine goings on to keep the site above board and fair.

Look, the only reason something like this is raised by a community member is because we've all seen and been subjected to abuse, and it does detract from the game for everybody. If there weren't people looking out for cheats, then the site would run rampant with them.

The reason being pending was the possibility that you guys could be multis. But with the explanation you have provided, it gave credit to the data that we have. You are cleared of being multis but I should warn you for playing standard games with your friends and with other people. Whether you admit it or not, did connive a turn or not, the situation of playing together in one room with your friends is already suspicious since others who are also in that game can be in a disadvantage, as what e_i_pi has pointed. As much as possible, play in team matches or in private games. This is noted for Wunderhill, jarblemagno, GaboSub, B-nice, and naes41091.

e_i_pi I think you're quoting me out of context. My point is that if I play in a team game with my friends against my friends, and one of the people on my team suggests a strategy inside our team chat, the fact that I dont re-suggest the same strategy doesnt mean that I'm a multi of the guy who originally suggested the idea. And I'm pretty sure not chatting inside team chat is against the rules--as in not saying anything at all as opposed to saying something to someone in real life.
