Yup, we were waiting on one game in Group 1. Just sent the PW to iblaskov who should join today. WPBRJ is the other guy missing, but he assures me he'll jump in.
DIBS won a hotly contested Final Group via the tiebreaker. It was danryan, with a dominating win on the Southeast map and a victory in the Rockies, who jumped out to what appeared to be an insurmountable lead. But DIBS grinded out a win on the USA map, then he beat Peter Gibbons on New England in a long battle after Peter Gibbons got the first four points. Though gannable scored all the points on the West map, he was only able to secure one other point, so it all came down to the Great Lakes map, where DIBS needed to get the final four eliminations. A double-knockout of Peter Gibbons and zissou2 appeared to clinch it for him and, after a few rounds, the elimination of Barry Zuckerkorn confirmed the victory. DIBS and danryan both finished with 15 points, but DIBS won the tiebreaker, which was map wins, 3-2. Peter Gibbons won bronze with 10 points, just eking out gannable who scored 8 points in the Final Group.
DIBS concluded the 67-game, 3-round tournament with the following statistics: 19 games played, 41 points, 8 map wins. The complete stats for the Final Group participants:
