The worst map on CC

Personally my least favorite is Poison Rome. I usually love Carins maps but this one is just not for me.

Conquer Man. By far the worst. Just an awful map in all respects for me, gameplay, visuals, etc. I used to dislike Actium but it has grown on me.

My worst (meaning I can't win on it) is AOR2 but I love the look of the map and the style of play.

The lot of you are just picking out maps you think are ugly or those you lose on often. If you're daunted by a map, maybe it's not the map that's the problem!

Only Blitzaholic and captainwalrus were able to nail objectively why City Mogul and Pearl Harbor are bad for sequential play. Pearl Harbor is being fixed. City Mogul doesn't need anything changed, however, and in fact, its freestyle play is what makes it ONE OF THE BEST. The map is genius for freestyle play. Farming has absolutely nothing to do with it. I can get a fun, quick, exciting freestyle game in on City Mogul anytime if I play someone who knows what he/she's doing. People just knock it because the number of people who know what they're doing on City Mogul is only in the double digits.... Sequential play, though, Blitzaholic is right, is very unbalanced.

In my subjective opinion, because I like winning as a result of mine own decisions and actions, maps that rely largely on luck, St. Patrick's Day, Luxembourg, Galapagos are the worst maps and i will rarely play them unless I am forced to.

Flat Rate is also the worst.
The Random map is the best.

It did have some novelty, that is for sure! I did win a game on it, and quite a bit of points from that game as well. I'd probably play the map from time to time if it wasn't a limited edition map!

But I must say I do dislike Draknor and Poison Rome.


Conquer Man gets an honorable mention only for the amount of territories and the length of games that will occur.


I must also say that I happen to love AoR 1,2,3 and City Mogul (despite my record of City Mogul being 0-8)

USA Apocalypse, Indochina, Conquer Man, Circus Maximus, Doodle Earth. Those are the ones I don't enjoy a lot.
3 relatively easy maps, conquer man (which is just very boring), and USA apocalypse which I always seem to start with 1 radiation effect and bad dice.

I heartily disagree with the knocking of City Mogul, folks just gotta learn how it works.

I dont like the "classic" maps though, what's the deal with those!? I think we need to bring back that map that had like Irktusk on it, THAT was a good map

It is a shame that we don't get to say the imfamous Kamchatka anymore... apart from when playing on Soviet Union of course... but it's just not the same

Twas a sad day when the normal map went down. To that end, I cant stand looking at Classic Shapes... Classic Art is an odd theme, but much more pleasing on the eye(balls)

the worst map is also the coolest map that was never made... it was also locked by someone that shall not be named because said mod had no sense of humour... it was a great idea, and i wish it had made it to the final forge... come on, impassable chunks of corn?! classic!!

Other cruddy maps include Draknor, USA Apocalypse, Oasis and more.

I should have clarified. It was dragged up a few times back when it was not locked, and then was locked.

Regardless, I fail to see your point/ why you are taking offense to my post? I was merely pointing out the fact that it wasnt worth discussing a map that was clearly pushed under by the CC community a year ago (I actually find it amusing, personally). It was primed to take over the thread; no point in hijacking a solid thread for something that failed to gain traction before, and thus, was locked

I don't like waterloo. I'm too new at it, maybe, but I don't like how the bombardment stations can't attack adjacent territories. It's not realistic. I mean, if I'm the guy loading cannonballs into the cannons, and enemy footsoldiers amass right next to me on the battlefield, I'm not going to shoot the cannon at them. I'm going to pick up my rifle and fight.

In fact, it was my fourth game played on this site, and one of my my early wins. (not the same game)

I think we can all agree that every map maker made a great effort to produce their maps for the enjoyment of the CC community at large. The work they do is unpaid and while Agent 86 has the complete right to express his opinion here, I think we should take the time to consider the other side of the coin.
