I am staying on Ptlowe. Claiming VT a few days after Dakky and Madmitch already screwed us over and got reprimanded it does not come of as townie. I havent really been trying to push you over the last few days as I have been trying to keep an open mind to others rather than being focused. My read might turn out to be complete rubbish, but I am 1 person and it takes 8 to lynch so why the feck do you even care?

End wanted to move past the joking and get down to business. I don't see how that can be construed as scummy.

Its trihard, especially the way he did it. If you notice it was actually AoG who took us out of the jokephase, but he did so by building a case. It wasnt forced, it waas a natural progression.

So, that's where you get your town read on AoG? His "case" was that Endgame wanted to get serious, which I find specious reasoning at best. Anyway, he wasn't the one who took us out of the joke vote phase, you said so yourself:

The reason I wanted the joke phase to continue is see who votes someone high up in the draft list, however End and Streaker have ruined that. Unlike most games we have the knowledge that most likely the stronger roles are near the top of the list. Sausage is draft pick no.8 and the highest draft pick to receive votes.

@Streaker - Epi made sense about AoG and I am not hard reading him town anymore. Early days his actions on End were very town imo, but Epi is right that since then he hasnt done anything notable.

@Mets - Have Vigs ever been allowed to make no night action? To be honest, I doubt that Tim could maintain a veil of lies with his vig targets for long enough if he isnt town, seeing as he will now need to reveal at the start of every day. I dont think we should choose his targets for him. In the same way as D1 lynch is often a mislynch, choosing his targets will likely be swayed by scum players.

Endgame then pushes to end joke voting again and Wings first charge is to accuse me of being mafia because of my joke vote.

I agree with Mets that Sausages voting is outright weird with a tendency towards scummy. However, I would say that Ptlowes is even odder. At 2:31 GMT he confirms, and then 50 minutes later votes Sausage for voting Streaker which he wasnt even doing anymore. My gut says hes fabricating a reason, and it also doesnt feel like a true joke vote with both Dakky and AoG voting streaker before him, even more so with AoG votes being sandwiched between Pt's confirm and vote sausage.

18 post later he is dismissing peoples analysis of not being in the game and then just guessing who are mafia.

Ptlowe and Epitaph, plus Sausage plus Endgame as the two pairs... Look at their draft order. Perfect balance. This is where I sit at the moment, but its Pt I strongly believe to be scum, the rest is mostly circumstantial.

Then he makes a couple more posts about game play…then asks for opinions on me and a few other…still no analysis

I feel bad, I started this with my jokevote.

I'd strongly object to a Virus lynch. Nothing in his opening post suggests scum, and his inactivity isnt abnormal.

Activity isnt a clear indicator of alignment, it is a tool used by those who are active to deflect the focus onto others. Ptlowe and Tim are the major pushers of this logic.

OH lets save virus. He doesnt post much in any game so free pass as he wont be contributing at all to this game. Perfect.

So now I am a major pusher of a logic I was just suggesting we should look at. Perfect. So far the analysis is running great..

Tim's not getting killed tonight unless one of the scum pairs landed both the watcher and the doc, which isn't likely. He could get roleblocked, tailored, or something else, but I don't see him getting NK'd.

Tim shouldn't have to kill as he's just a regular vig as opposed to an "overeager" vig. That said, Tim should NOT kill tonight. Save those bullets for someone you really think is scum, Tim. With it being D1, nothing is terribly strong and I wouldn't risk it.

My initial vote on HS was a joke, but frankly he's done nothing to make me want to move it. I'd be willing to pressure AoG still. I'm leaning scum on Wing too, but like I said earlier, I'd rather not go for the top 5 right now.

How hard can you push someone on D1? My issues with AoG have to do with the lack of contribution in the game--I'm not going to make a long post explaining all that when I can do it in a few sentences.

No one really seems interested in pursuing AoG despite my multiple appeals. I'm not going to browbeat you guys into following this lead, especially when it's D1 and there isn't a ton to go off of. I put my suspicions on the record, if people want to come with me on this, by all means.

And I agree with Mets, hammering down on a newer player on D1 to watch him squirm isn't exactly a town move.

First off, stop claiming all. It is much too early in the game for mass claims.

Second, Tim definitely should not kill tonight unless he has a REALLY good reason for it. If he is town, then he would be almost taking a shot in the dark as to who to kill. If he isn't, then scum would get another kill off for free. It is best for town that he not kill, because either we are saved from a randomish kill or stop a nontown from getting an extra kill. I hate that he claimed like he did, but I don't really think it is alignment indicative at all for him.
Another idea for this, although people may have different feelings on this, if he feels the need to kill someone, he should declare it before the night. This slows a mafia doc from saving their partner, because if his target doesn't die, the target would become a major scum possibility as they may have a partner trying to save them. (Although now that I said that, a mafia doc could use that to frame someone)

As for ptlowe... Weak claim man. You weren't under anywhere near enough pressure to claim (main point, no one was calling for you to claim) and then the claim you come out with is very generic. VT because you tried for one of the most likely selected roles. A relatively safe claim unless the tracker (if there is one) goes after you and catches you visiting someone. Also, a roleclaim really doesn't mean too much for alignment. I would believe that a scum picking towards the bottom would try for the bomb role, since the odds of getting any role are relatively small anyway. Also, yes I believe that bomb would be a role that scum would select just as likely as town. (sk not so much though) I think ptlowe is a good choice for a lynch today, as I have an acceptable amount of doubt in his claim, and it is a low risk move.
For now though, I want to leave my vote and hotshot and try to get some more pressure on him so he contributes what he can today.

I would say ptlowe is my top scum right now, with some suspicion on hotshot.

I'd say that streaker is leaning town, as well as endgame. I believe they are both trying to contribute (which is obviously how scum would want to look, but still)

@epi, for Day 1, I would say my opinion is that we would need some more conviction in his guilt than we would if he were a lower drafting player. Lynching higher-ups is a higher risk higher reward move, and since we have the least to go on on Day 1, I would say a lower risk, lower reward move is the best choice for now. Of course, if the feelings are strong the risk of lynching a higher up is decreased and it becomes the best move. So to answer your question, its hard to quantify. It depends on if you trust your read or not. If you do, then you should try to go through with it and try to get others on your side.

@tim, Id suggest you watch all of this and after day one when you see what role is actually lynch, look at the harder pushers for that and maybe cap them. You dont need to listen to the rest of the guys to make your decision.
