The sign equates Hitler and President Obama. That is not racism. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it in poor taste? Yes. Do I want that sign in my political movement? No. Is it a racist sign? No.AAFitz wrote:Perhaps the most racist yet. please remove yourself if you cant see it. It of course isnt racist towards obama, or African Americans, but instead equates paying a few more percent in taxes, to burning human beings alive, and only jewish ones at that.thegreekdog wrote:Not racist, please remove. Granted, its easy to see why you want it removed. Id be pretty horrified to see my group displaying that one as well, not to mention being horrified at the idea there are people out there so ignorant as to think others will not see them for what they are.
Well, comparing Obama to Hitler isn't racist though...the.killing.44 wrote:So equating the Tea Party to the KKK is ban-worthy, but Obama to Hitler is not racist.

The picture "equating the Tea Party to the KKK" was actually a picture of a lynching in progress. In my opinion, that's a level of poor taste that deserves to be removed. Apparently you and others think that the picture belongs back up on the fora. I'm not sure what, exactly, the discussion value of that picture may be. It wasn't a poster held by a Tea Party member at a rally. It was simply a picture. Do you find that adds value to any discussion whatsoever?the.killing.44 wrote:So equating the Tea Party to the KKK is ban-worthy, but Obama to Hitler is not racist.

No it isn't.the.killing.44 wrote:So equating the Tea Party to the KKK is ban-worthy, but Obama to Hitler is not racist.
If the sign said anything of the sort it should be removed. However, the sign does show proof that the Tea Party movement has posters that are in poor taste (i.e. I could argue it adds to the discussion).pimpdave wrote:Well, comparing Obama to Hitler isn't racist though...the.killing.44 wrote:So equating the Tea Party to the KKK is ban-worthy, but Obama to Hitler is not racist.
Declaring Jews as belonging in ovens however, is. TGD is spinning.
You must photoshop this message onto a sign held by a Tea Party protester... and then repost that image. Thanks.pimpdave wrote:THIS THREAD IS FOR THE POSTING OF RACIST TEA PARTY SIGNS ONLY

This is no worse than posting images of George Bush as Alfred E. Newman (from Mad Magazine). Just because Erkel is black does not make this racist. If you are going to use pop cultural images to insult a politician you kinda have to use someone from the same race. No?pimpdave wrote:
Not racist in any way.pimpdave wrote:
I wouldn't be the one to ban you, so I'm not the one to ask. Contrary to popular belief, I don't have banning privileges. Would I lock the thread? Depends on if a report was made on such a thread and what that report said.King Doctor wrote:thegreekdog wrote:If the sign said anything of the sort it should be removed. Hypothetically speaking, if I made a 'Tea Party v KKK' thread would I get banned for it?
Please note that this is not a loaded question:

You're an idiot.pimpdave wrote:In this thread we will post images and video of Racist Tea Party Signs or chants or rhetoric. There is to be no pedantry in this thread, no rebuttals, no "discussion".

I assumed the Gates was in reference to him, but there's no racist there. The acronym is a reference I have never heard of, and I think it's a complete stretch to make that the meaning of the poster. Saxi, aren't you a self-proclaimed white, old person?saxitoxin wrote:The one woman is protesting Obama's Secretary of Defence, William Gates.Night Strike wrote:pimpdave wrote:![]()
The capitals in "Better Beach Access" are an acronym for "BIG BLACK ASS" which is a racist reference to Michelle Obama.
The guy with the white hair is old and all old people are racist and hate Obama.
I'm a 73 year old man living in a gated community in Santa Barbara but my mind is that of an 18 year-old hip-hop activist kickin' it in a phat loft in San Diego's gas lamp district. Playa in da house!!! wutwutNight Strike wrote: Saxi, aren't you a self-proclaimed white, old person?

I can only assume on this one the pimp is promoting for better beach access, to allow for more trolling, of which, he may very well be the biggest proponent.Night Strike wrote:pimpdave wrote:![]()
Again, its not racist because of any issue to do with Obama whatsoever. Its racist, by equating burning jews alive, to raising taxes, and in reality, by only a few percentage points. By equating the suffering of an entire race, to a mere tax increase, so diminishes the event as to be racist defacto.thegreekdog wrote:The sign equates Hitler and President Obama. That is not racism. The obvious retort to this, is "youre losing the argument, so all you can do is use racial slurs". The reason shouting racist actually works, is because if someone is using a racial slur, it immediately brings into the question of why they are arguing what they are arguing.bradleybadly wrote:
