you can defo do it in private games- just tried with strider24

Not how I would have thought you would go about doing it, but man does it sure make my life easier now.

Thanks a million, Lack. This was the one improvement that makes everyone across the board happy. Now clan challenges are far easier to organize, tournaments will run smoother and faster, and even normal team games find some benefit.

Might I suggest that down the road you find a way to differentiate between the teams for slightly less confusion? It might help in those 8 player doubles games so people don't get confused. Perhaps just a small space between the team groupings, or a subtle line of some sort.

Fixed with a new code: [TOT] (It stands for Tournament Organizer Teams...creative naming here at CC )

It MUST have a game number, password, team number, in that order. It wont work if you don't have all 3. This should work for tournament games and clan challenges because it assumes that you have a PW on your game. The [TO] code still works for just PW protected non-team games. I have not tested trying to join a standard game with a TOT label, try at your own risk

Game 12345 (Auto-Join Game on Team 1)

This will join you to game 12345 on team 1 if the password is PWRULEZ.

Simple, right?

Yes, the tot is used so that you can get into the game automaticly, and it'll enter you into the right team.

Great idea ..love it...notice that you end up with some super strong teams versing very weak though...eg a cadet starts a game so all the high rankers, instead of wanting to help him are so focused on keeping their egos and rankings up that they just join and form a super strong team.....it will be interesting to see if games become lopsided...lol

Could well lead to lopsided teams, but then again previously the top ranks just wouldn't have joined, so at least this way the people who sometimes complain about not being able to play against the top players can have a chance.

No, passwords are still game-specific, not team specific. You're still going to have to organize your team to join at the same time if you're worried about other people joining the wrong team...but this should cut down on that happening significantly .
