Baron Von PWN means consistently support freedom, and not just support it when it suits your goals.

Ronald Reagan made it LEGAL for US citizens to own gold again in 1986.....that is the #1 pre-requisite of freedom. I consider the right to own Gold to credit more cause to freedom than almost anything else

perhaps you should listen to reagans speech, just before he says "Tear Down this Wall!" You will see a leader supporting freedom., it can be found on page 1 of this thread, not more than 3 mintues
Wow it's great he made a nice speech about freedom, too bad he supported repressive dictatorships across the globe.

That doesn't make Ronald Reagan not a hypocrite.

I dunno who, just pointing out Reagan is a douche. What I would like to see a US government do, I don't care which administration any administration will do, is stop giving money and arms to dictatorships. You don't have to go in and overthrow them, or even put trade sanctions on them. Just stop giving them money and stop giving them weapons.

those are not real world strategies. dictators will exist, and we have to find some way to trade/deal with them. Everything isn't rose petals

Fine trade with them, but don't give them guns and aid.

Certainly not world peace. It would at least make the USA act on its supposed ideals.

What the f*ck does that have to do with what I said? There is no connect between what I said, and this idiotic comment of yours. The point I was clarifying is that when you only push freedom when it serves your agenda, that makes you a hypocrite, just using the concept of freedom to serve your own end. Jesus you're fucking stupid.

Getting it back on topic I think Clinton was much better as he was the kind of president who would react quickly to issues and calm them down, but also have a good long term strategy to counter the much harder problems. I can't talk too specifically about Reagan here, but a lot of leaders and politicians just make knee-jerk policies. Also Clinton practised what he preached (most of the time) unlike Reagan who often went back on himself and contradicted his own arguament with his actions.

He didn't mean "talk about", he meant "actually do". They should've given Reagan the Nobel peace Prize like Obama if saying you support freedom is all that's needed.

So that pretty much means "do" as support is an action.
