OK, just want to give you guys an update on the "max situation"
Lanyards has been cleared
Regardless of what was going on, it was no fault of his own and he does not deserve to be punished. Max also did not start and new non-tournament games with Lanyard's account. I did not have the time to dig through all of their games together to see if there was improper sitting going on.
However: Max will remain busted, as will his brother's account which he took over to bitch and moan in chat both during his chat ban and after his multi bust. (Further) breaking of the rules during a pending appeal is just a universally moronic idea and I have no sympathy for him. And the rules simply state that you only have 1 account regardless of if they play in the same games or not. So don't go whining about the fact that he just wanted to be heard and wasn't abusing the game. It's a clearly drawn line and there was no reason for him to cross it.
To add fuel to the fire, Max was skating a very thin line on "gross abuse of the game" already by feeding almost exclusively off of new recruits - most of whom never came back after playing him.
To add further fuel to the fire, JCKing has been busted for creating multis which were farmed by Max, and potentially others.
To add yet further fuel to the fire, Max has repeatedly been accused/suspected of sitting abuse and had multiple blocks on his account (we all remember the "little" *manimal bust that took all those accounts with it because of previous blocks with Max)
As with all busted account, he does have the chance to buy back in with 1 and only 1 account, to stay with that 1 account and not use any other accounts. I would strongly advise that anybody who's account Max has access to change their passwords, because if we find Max using your accounts, we'll have to bust them as well, sitting or not at this point.
Max found some great loopholes in the scoring system, he pissed off a lot of people and skated on some pretty thin ice with regards to the rules. There's going to be a lot of emotion on several sides about this, but Max dug his own grave in the end. He crossed the line he shouldn't have and now it's his choice what he does with his position.
