Not to influence the game, but if you want to open your pms and not post, this signifies activity to me. If he wants a replacement, he should tell me or not open his pms from me.
Last I heard he was still playing for his league's title

No offence but bad moderating... you have pretty much told everyone that crazyirishman was not the doctor or the guy sending in the kill in the night phase, keep this information to yourself in future and just sort out getting the guy replaced... I would recommend a modkill right now.

If you open PMs and don't post this highlights a lack of common decency to even tell the mod he should be replaced and should be got rid of ASAP.

Posting signifies activity. Opening PMs but not doing anything about them signifies the exact opposite.

How would you all know this isn't active submarining then? Isn't that a large scumtell? At what point does the mod have to stop submarining? Maybe you all should have lynched him earlier.

At this point, this role is too tainted to be inherited. If you're going to kill him, vote him. I do want to point out that he's not said anything for at least 2 days and 4 prods. Somehow, I'm surprised nobody picked up on this submarining, especially given that I feel I've been very aggressive in replacing people not responding.

Well, I'll say this, in this situation I am not wiling to hear Crazyirishman out, if he is a survivor, (in the best case scenario) then he does not deserve to win based on his amount of contribution.
I am not willing to let him or a replacement post either, he is scummy enough to warrant a danger to F1fth.

If he is submarining then he should tell you... you speak too much, regardless / has killed him so lets find his role.

We probably could have gotten a lynch on him, but that's cool. Vote: Crazyirishman in case that shot misses.

Scene

After much discussion about supposedly inactive members, / points a pistol at a sleeping crazyirishman. "Eat shit and die!" he cries in his best Duke Nukem voice.

After searching his (exceedingly dusty) belongings, the citizens find him to be a member of the infamous Gunslinger Gang!

Crazyirishman (Mafia) has been killed!

I'll get straight to it because I know you all are waiting for it: I investigated crazyirishguy last night and I'm still pondering my clue. However, for the time being I'd like him to claim because my clue seems to imply that he's not aligned with town or scum, and is possibly a survivor.

Well, I don't know if we should rush a no lynch again.
We might be up against more than we thought we were. If we thought there was only one scum left before, now there might actually just be one left, but we don't know.

Now it did work last time, but who the scum is going to target won't be as obvious as last time, and the doctor might not get so lucky. Lets take more of out time.

Well, I'm not a cop and that's why I didn't speak in absolutes. I got a clue, and from that clue I could tell that something was suspicious about him, but I realized I overlooked an important part of it... I looked at the content of the quote but didn't check who said it.

Still, if I were trying to cover for him, wouldn't I have claimed he was town? Furthermore, why in hell would I throw another scummate under the bus by bringing suspicion on him?

And besides, I was right (from page 45):
F1fth wrote:If there are any more questions, please ask. But for the time being, I'm going to focus on scum hunting.

Judging from the behavior of known scum this game, (and this is me metagaming here) I'd say that the last scum or two is most likely to be among more inactive members or those who replaced inactive members around the middle of the game. That said, top of the list is crazyirishman who I'm not sure is ever around here anymore.

Well, we have killed two scum in a row and had one kill blocked. There's got to be at most one other scum and/or possibly a third party left and we got a good thing going on with investigations/protections. I say we go one more night without a lynch.

I wasn't questioning your loyalty to the town, I was just questioning the validity of your results.. in fact it was really a throwaway remark, don't read too much into it.

Alright, I suppose it makes sense to make a formal claim at this point. I am a Barkeep and I gain information about a player of my choice each night in the form of a quote.

As I explain this next part, keep in mind that I'm not allowed to quote my PMs. Anyway, I'm not told what these quotes mean, but they each have a connection to the role of the player. For instance, I was given an old saying about telling venomous snakes from lookalikes for deathcomesrippin. The reference to venom and red I found are the pointers to his alignment.

This last clue, the hint was not in the content but who said it: a gangster. It was a silly oversight on my part, but up until then the source of the quote had not been particularly important. Live and learn, I guess.

@Nag - Ah, sorry I misunderstood you. I didn't mean to sound too defensive, but I gotta keep the heat off my back. I'm a pro-town hero after all. 8-)

So F1fth is our most valuable member right now, what with him serving all the drinks, so the doc needs to just protect him. That way the scum won't try to target him. We can spare someone else.

I'm still waiting from quite a few people to respond to the idea of another no lynch, otherwise I'd get straight to it since we're only a vote away. Come on, where is everybody?

1) people should use their guns
2) people should vote no lynch
3) the mod should put a deadline in place, or just move into the night phase.

I don't think a quick no lynch is good for us. Information can still be gained. I think the people who want a fast no lynch look a bit suspicious, as it seems like a good way for the scum to just avoid suspicion and discussion. Daytime discussion can, for the most part, only help town.

except we either have:

an investigator and a dr protecting that investigator which means we can investigate every night and protect every night. if we miss lynch and lynch the dr., then our bar tender is gone as well. so a no lynch is good.

or

Fifth is really scum, but doubtful, and he is playing us very well.

so

vote no lynch
