I'm not sure I like having the gods being able to kill people without any penalty. but i'll think about it.

Of course they would have penalty, losing one of their own men. Killing them on the spot for god points is brutal. :D

What about giving followers the chance to change gods on their own...?

People change religions in a monotheistic society, let alone a polytheistic one.

Yes, but in a violent polytheistic society where your only aim is to kill everyone in the other religions, people changing religions wouldn't get very far before their past catches up to them. With a dagger. In a dark alley.

Not sure about sacrifices, god points seemed pretty damn important there. Killing a member to smite an enemy recruiter is a good trade off. If the gods didn't waste their points making proclamations no one listened and investigating people, they could have enjoyed it more I'm sure
It's a pity the game never went in catastrophe mode too, could have been fun =)

Great job Talassians, especially Pancake! He totaly blitzed the opponents made a big lead for us (and then got himself killed :P ).
Boom! Headshot. :P
Oh and thank you for choosing THAT smiley. Way to keep me on my toes. Luckely, Jnd got killed so I didn't have to decide if it's a smiley smiley or "Darn, I missed" smiley.

Well yeah, I intend to rethink the entire system more for next time (this time I was very much making it up as i went along - had lots of ideas and if they seemed like a good idea, in they went ). Partly due to my lack of planning the game.
