2008-09-08 20:22:28 - Army of Achilles: playing 50 games at once and setting up my next tournament seem to be resulting in more errors than when I was playing a dozen at a time
2008-09-08 20:23:11 - Army of Achilles: thanks for the great tournament Harry
2008-09-08 20:24:48 - FATHARRY: np mate - I'm enjoying it
2008-09-08 20:25:03 - FATHARRY: looking forward to getting started with your all-maps tourney too
2008-09-08 20:26:26 - Army of Achilles: I went with the random draw but you are right I probably should have seeded players. In one group of 4 I think their is a bridagier, a colonel, and 2 majors
2008-09-08 20:27:15 - Army of Achilles: I can't recall where you are in the bracket but I'll have things set up for 1/2 of the field tonight
2008-09-08 20:27:27 - FATHARRY: lol
2008-09-08 20:27:34 - FATHARRY: ok
2008-09-08 20:27:48 - FATHARRY: that brig will be pissed if he loses in round 1
2008-09-08 20:29:06 - Army of Achilles: the other way to look at it is he could have drawn one of the cooks and been playing each game for 90 pts vs 3 or something like that
2008-09-08 20:29:26 - Army of Achilles: given a poor drop and going last on some maps it is tough to overcome
2008-09-08 20:30:15 - Army of Achilles: I didn't think it was fair to make the highest ranked players to have to risk their points like that
2008-09-08 20:30:18 - FATHARRY: true
2008-09-08 20:30:42 - FATHARRY: on the small maps - turn 1 basically decides the game - no matter who you're playing
2008-09-08 20:30:56 - FATHARRY: that's what i like about this map
2008-09-08 20:31:10 - FATHARRY: you can get bad early dice and still have a decent shot at winning
2008-09-08 20:31:31 - Army of Achilles: this is by far the best map that I've found for 1x1 games. drop helps and going first is an advantage but you can overcome it with solid play
2008-09-08 20:32:29 - Army of Achilles: the worst maps for 1x1 are the small 1's where each player starts with 12 territories or the large one's where you get like 12 men and can immediately knock down the opponent
2008-09-08 20:32:40 - FATHARRY: yeah
2008-09-08 20:32:50 - Army of Achilles: I like the thrill of trying to overcome the bad drop and/or going 2nd even though you might lose
2008-09-08 20:34:31 - Army of Achilles: tough decision isn't it?
2008-09-08 20:35:59 - FATHARRY: the suspense is killing me, lol
2008-09-08 20:37:15 - Army of Achilles: I wouldn't be hurt if she thought about it for about another 55 mintues
2008-09-08 20:38:56 - Army of Achilles: I think I've got into her head as she is pondering the well thought out move that I'm going to throw at her next
2008-09-08 20:40:08 - Tammy DeLee: no... i got a phone call is all lol
2008-09-08 20:40:13 - Tammy DeLee: sorry
2008-09-08 20:40:33 - Army of Achilles: kind of funny that I'm setting up all these games for the tournament on maps I've never even played. Think I've played about 30 of the maps and probably 1/3 of all my games have been on this one
2008-09-08 20:40:47 - Army of Achilles: no problem. I was kidding
2008-09-08 20:41:14 - Tammy DeLee: we should start a club lol
2008-09-08 20:41:46 - Tammy DeLee: i think harry and I both could say the same thing...
2008-09-08 20:44:28 - Tammy DeLee: ok... now im pondering lol
2008-09-08 20:45:06 - Army of Achilles: a lot of thing to think about here
2008-09-08 20:57:28 - Tammy DeLee: gg
2008-09-08 20:57:40 - FATHARRY: not over yet
2008-09-08 20:57:50 - Army of Achilles: beat me to it
2008-09-08 21:00:22 - Tammy DeLee: seems we switched spots lol
2008-09-08 21:00:52 - Army of Achilles: was hoping for better dice. should have stayed put rather than coming after you once I took GK
2008-09-08 21:02:20 - Tammy DeLee: then i was planning on going for gk and realm, i know dumb idea, probably the same outcome lol
2008-09-08 21:03:06 - Army of Achilles: I knew you would that's why I decided to come after you with less men. probably would have worked out about the same
2008-09-08 21:07:45 - Army of Achilles: definitely one of the more unusual games I've had on this map
2008-09-08 21:09:12 - Tammy DeLee: leave it to me to think all girly... right harry? lol
2008-09-08 21:11:09 - Tammy DeLee: now its a game, shouldve put the 10 on lm4
2008-09-08 21:12:38 - Army of Achilles: yeah. I was afraid you'd stack everything there rather than 3 piles. I would have had to build and you could have come after my stack instead
2008-09-08 21:20:25 - Army of Achilles: gg. well fought match
2008-09-08 21:20:27 - Tammy DeLee: gg achilles
2008-09-08 21:20:31 - Tammy DeLee: ty
2008-09-08 21:20:55 - Tammy DeLee: hopefully, i learn from my mistakes
2008-09-08 21:21:10 - Tammy DeLee: god knows there are enough of them lol
2008-09-08 21:24:26 - Army of Achilles: maybe just be more aggessive. with chained forts you probably could have grabbed rhu village and put the pressure on me to come after you
2008-09-08 21:30:21 - Tammy DeLee: chained forts wouldve made a big difference all right lol
