Hi All - not sure why people love new snaps? what I now see is that i get, in a 6 player game 6 snaps of the last 2 rounds, but all previous rounds are now lost which sucks for fog games. no way to access what map looked like in earlier rounds. Am I missing something? Fog players I would think would not welcome that development...
Since the "fix" to make snapshots in chat optional, most of the snapshot functionality has been completely wiped out. 1. Snapshots are no longer showing up in the Snapshot panel at all. 2. When snapshots in chat are enabled, they appear to be assigned to only the first person on the team, and other team members are not able to view them.
I do appreciate BW working quickly to fix this, but right now, we have near zero snapshot functionality. Anticipating the most likely fixes to the above issues, can I also put in a request that manual snapshots be shareable with all teammates? Snapshots between turns is a big thing, but sometimes we want to capture mid-turn snapshots with the intent to share details with teammates (i.e. if I grab a territory that bombards several others, I may take a snap to show the size of the various enemy stacks to my teammates, or if I happen to catch a game when an opponent is in the middle of making a big sweep, I might grab a few intermediate snaps so we can discuss what he actually did).
And just like that, we have a fix again! Thanks for stomping out the bugs so quickly, BW. I know how frustrating software development can be, and I'm sure this will be excellent once it's fully working as intended (it may be now, but I suspect we'll uncover another bug or two before it's all said and done!).
I haven't read the whole thread, but I guess it would be awesome if the "Prior" option is replaced Previous to the left and Next to the right, where Previous keeps taking us one step backward whenever when click it, and Next takes up one step forward. Easy browsing.
The purpose of this is to avoid us the need to open the snap tap to go few steps back. At least for us who disabled the snapshot links in game chat. I would be very useful for people who play multi-player games want to conveniently check how things developed during the whole round since they last checked and played.
